I’m really impressed with what Apple TV+ is doing right now. They consistently deliver shows I love, whether it’s a familiar favorite, a gripping thriller, or a high-quality drama. What keeps me coming back is their commitment to great stories and amazing visuals. Looking at what everyone’s been watching this week, it’s clear they’re hitting all the right notes – from big, exciting adventures to smaller, more personal stories. Here’s what’s currently topping the charts on the platform.
‘Palm Royale’ (2024–)

‘Palm Royale’ is a lively comedy-drama set in 1969, following Maxine Simmons, played by Kristen Wiig, as she tries to climb the social ladder in Palm Beach. The show is visually striking and playfully critiques the world of the wealthy, showing just how far someone will go to fit in. With a fantastic cast including Laura Dern and Ricky Martin, it vividly portrays the glamorous but competitive lives of the country club crowd, blending humorous moments with thoughtful reflections on class and belonging.
‘Monarch: Legacy of Monsters’ (2023–)

This thrilling series adds to the world of giant monsters known as the MonsterVerse, telling a story across two different time periods. It focuses on a brother and sister following clues left by their father, which leads them to a former Army officer named Lee Shaw – portrayed by Kurt Russell and his son, Wyatt Russell, at different points in his life. The show balances the incredible action of massive monster battles with a compelling human story about family secrets and hidden military operations, making it a must-watch for fans who enjoy both spectacle and a rich backstory.
‘The Morning Show’ (2019–)

This popular drama keeps viewers hooked with its intense portrayal of the competitive world of morning news. Starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon as competing news anchors, the show explores the challenges they face both at work and in their personal lives, including scandals and office politics. Known for being inspired by real-life events, it tackles important issues like inappropriate behavior in the workplace and how the media is changing. With its witty writing and powerful acting, it’s become a consistently popular choice for streaming viewers.
‘Drops of God’ (2023)

Inspired by a beloved Japanese comic, this series is a thrilling drama set in the world of wine and family fortunes. It centers on Camille, who has to compete against her father’s talented student, Issei, in a challenging wine-tasting competition to claim a valuable inheritance. Shot in both France and Japan, the show is celebrated for its immersive experience and the complex inner lives of its characters. ‘Drops of God’ has attracted a loyal following by combining a compelling family story with the fascinating details of wine appreciation.
‘Pluribus’ (2025–)

This sci-fi drama, created by Vince Gilligan, became a hit shortly after it began airing in late 2025. Starring Rhea Seehorn as Carol Sturka, the show centers on a novelist who is one of the few people unaffected by an alien virus that turns humans into a unified, peaceful collective. The series delves into questions about free will and what it means to be an individual, as Carol struggles against the allure of a life without pain. Critics have praised the show’s original concept and Seehorn’s powerful portrayal of a deeply unhappy character.
‘Severance’ (2022–)

This gripping thriller explores the dark side of work-life balance at Lumon Industries, a company where employees have surgery to completely separate their work and personal memories. Starring Adam Scott, the show follows a group of people navigating the strange and frightening world of the ‘severed’ floor. As employees start to question what they’re really doing and the world outside, the tension steadily increases. With its unique look and surprising twists, the show has quickly become a hit with viewers.
‘Ted Lasso’ (2020–2023)

Even though it’s finished airing, ‘Ted Lasso’ remains a hugely popular show for people all over the world. Jason Sudeikis plays the main character, an American football coach who brings a positive attitude to a struggling British soccer team. The show is loved for its feel-good stories about characters overcoming challenges, dealing with personal issues, and the power of being kind. It continues to gain new fans and keep existing ones coming back for its unique mix of funny moments and heartfelt emotion.
‘Tehran’ (2020–)

‘Tehran’ is a gripping spy thriller about Tamar Rabinyan, an Israeli Mossad hacker working secretly in Tehran. The show is praised for its authentic portrayal of spy work and the complicated political situation in the Middle East. The third season has attracted more viewers, boosted by the addition of Hugh Laurie, and features even higher stakes for Tamar as she fights to survive. The series skillfully combines exciting action with the emotional challenges of leading a double life in a dangerous environment.
‘Hijack’ (2023–)

Idris Elba delivers a captivating performance in ‘Hijack,’ a fast-paced thriller unfolding on a seven-hour flight from Dubai to London that’s been taken over by hijackers. He plays Sam Nelson, a skilled negotiator who must rely on his intelligence to protect the passengers as those on the ground race to find a solution. The show expertly uses the confined space of the airplane to create constant tension and a relentless pace, making it a truly addictive and gripping series.
‘Shrinking’ (2023–)

Okay, so I’ve been completely hooked on this new comedy series, ‘Shrinking’. It stars Jason Segel as a therapist who’s dealing with his own loss and just starts being brutally honest with his patients – it’s hilarious and surprisingly moving. What really makes it special is how it tackles grief with both humor and a real sensitivity. Plus, Harrison Ford is absolutely fantastic as this wonderfully grumpy older mentor figure. I’ve really connected with all the characters and their struggles; it feels so real. Honestly, ‘Shrinking’ is just a show that finds the funny side of even the toughest times, and it’s incredibly heartwarming.
