As a dedicated fan of the X-Men universe, I was absolutely thrilled to see Dafne Keen reprising her role as X-23 in the latest Deadpool & Wolverine trailer! Her unexpected appearance left me utterly bewildered and filled me with excitement.
If you’ve yet to see the final trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine, this article may reveal significant surprises to you. Moving on, Dafne Keen delivered a startling cameo in the most recent preview of Deadpool and Wolverine.
In the third installment of the anti-hero’s story, the upcoming movie will feature several notable appearances and some formidable mutants.
Dafne Keen about reprising her role as X-23
As a lifestyle expert, I’m always excited to analyze the latest developments in popular culture, and I must say, the new Deadpool & Wolverine trailer has left fans in quite a state of surprise! When I saw Dafne Keen making an appearance once again, I couldn’t help but be reminded of her powerful portrayal of Laura/X-23 in Logan back in 2017.
In the new film, Hugh Jackman’s famous character says goodbye for the last time, and this time, Laura, also known as X-23, will be portrayed by an actress who is older than she was in the previous movie.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Keen shared that he felt somewhat apprehensive while working on the set of Marvel Studios’ sole film launching in 2021.
As a lifestyle expert, I can relate when Keen mentions feeling like she may have nearly lost touch with the character of X-23 from the movie. In simpler terms, I’ve found myself pondering over the fact that I might have unconsciously stepped away from embodying her traits and essence.
“She’s not in me anymore,” Keen recalled thinking about her role.
To get a feel for what it would be like to be Wolverine’s genetically-created child, as depicted in the movie “Logan,” Keen shared with the press that she had watched the film again.
During the filming of a nerve-wracking scene, Dafne Keen admitted that she was quite scared. But once she heard the director call out “Action!”, Keen quickly regained her composure and focused on her role in Logan.
After finishing her speech, the Spanish actress reflected that it seemed only eight years had gone by since her appearance in Logan.
Dafne Keen as X-23
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing some truly extraordinary films in my time, and Logan ranks among the most lavish and memorable of them all. For devoted fans of the X-Men universe, this movie was an emotional rollercoaster that brought tears to our eyes. At the same time, it provided a fitting and poignant farewell to Hugh Jackman’s iconic portrayal of Wolverine.
In the R-rated film, Dafne Keen brought X-23, a renowned character from the Marvel comic books, to life for the audience.
In the movie, Laura, who was born in a laboratory and grew up with mutant abilities like her father, is portrayed as having both the same powers and a similar tendency for violence as him. Throughout the film, she embarks on a quest to find her fellow mutants.
Deadpool & Wolverine will be released in theaters on July 26, 2024.
