February 2026 box office results show a lively mix of established hits and fresh releases. James Cameron’s newest film, set on Pandora, is still earning a lot of money weeks after it came out, but a new horror-thriller directed by Sam Raimi has taken over the number one spot. This weekend, audiences also turned out in force for more specialized films, like a major K-pop concert movie and a faith-based romantic comedy. Here’s a list of the top fifteen movies based on their recent earnings.
‘Hamnet’ (2025)

Directed by Chloé Zhao, this moving historical drama is based on Maggie O’Farrell’s popular novel. It stars Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley as William Shakespeare and his wife, Agnes, set against the backdrop of plague-ridden England. The story centers on their heartbreaking experience with the loss of their eleven-year-old son, Hamnet, and how this deep sorrow inspired Shakespeare to write his famous tragedy, ‘Hamlet’. Reviewers have especially lauded the powerful performances of the lead actors and the film’s realistic and beautiful look.
‘Marty Supreme’ (2026)

I just saw Josh Safdie’s new movie, and wow, it’s a real ride! It’s all about professional table tennis, and it’s surprisingly intense. Timothée Chalamet is fantastic as Marty Reisman – he really embodies this quirky, determined ping pong player based on a real person. The story follows Marty as he climbs the ranks in a pretty rough underground betting world back in the 1950s, all while chasing real success. And it was great to see Gwyneth Paltrow back on screen playing a wealthy woman who gets caught up in all the craziness of Marty’s life.
‘The Moment’ (2026)

Charli XCX takes center stage in this funny, fake documentary directed by Aidan Zamiri. The film shows what goes on behind the scenes as the pop star gets ready for a huge arena tour, all while a major cultural moment is happening. It mixes actual concert clips with made-up drama involving her team and the demands of the music industry. Reviewers have praised its witty humor and insightful look at the challenges of being a modern celebrity.
‘The Housemaid’ (2026)

I just finished watching this new psychological thriller, and let me tell you, it’s a ride! Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried are fantastic as the central characters. The story, adapted from Freida McFadden’s popular novel, centers around a woman trying to turn her life around by working as a maid for a very wealthy family. But things quickly get complicated – and creepy! It turns out this family is hiding some seriously dark secrets, secrets that are just as troubling as the maid’s own past. The power struggles between them are intense and things escalate fast, with a real sense of danger building throughout. Definitely one to keep you on the edge of your seat!
‘Mercy’ (2026)

Chris Pratt leads this thrilling sci-fi movie set in the near future, where crimes are judged by artificial intelligence. The film, directed by Timur Bekmambetov, follows a detective wrongly accused of a crime who must clear his name before he’s executed. Rebecca Ferguson plays the AI that acts as judge, carefully reviewing evidence during a tense, real-time interrogation. The story unfolds in a unique way, building suspense throughout the ninety-minute trial.
‘Melania’ (2026)

Okay, so I just watched this new documentary from Amazon MGM Studios, and it’s… something. It focuses on the former First Lady during a really crucial period, specifically the last twenty days before the 2025 inauguration, and it’s all told from her point of view. Honestly, it’s sparked a lot of debate – people are really divided about how it handles the politics and gets into her personal life. It’s definitely different from anything else I’ve seen from the studio, a real stylistic shift for their documentaries. It’s a pretty polarizing film, you’ll either love it or hate it, I think.
‘Shelter’ (2026)

I just finished watching this really gripping action movie starring Jason Statham. He plays a former special ops guy trying to live a quiet life in Scotland, but everything changes when he saves this little girl, Bodhi Rae Breathnach. Suddenly, he’s on the run, protecting her from a bunch of ruthless mercenaries. The director, Ric Roman Waugh, really knows how to build tension, especially with the stunning Scottish Highlands as the backdrop. And Bill Nighy is fantastic as the guy relentlessly pursuing them – he’s genuinely chilling. It’s a non-stop thrill ride!
‘The Strangers: Chapter 3’ (2026)

This final installment in director Renny Harlin’s reboot of the horror series is packed with violence. Madelaine Petsch returns as Maya, who must now directly face the masked killers after surviving their earlier attacks. The story continues right after the second film, culminating in a climactic showdown in a secluded forest. The movie finally reveals the unsettling reason behind the seemingly random home invasions, giving fans the answers they’ve been waiting for.
‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ (2025)

James Cameron revisits the world of Avatar, introducing a new, fire-wielding Na’vi clan called the Ash People. Jake and Neytiri, played by Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldaña, are back and must defend their family from this new threat, all while confronting their own painful past. The film boasts stunning visual effects, particularly in its realistic portrayal of volcanic landscapes and unique creatures. The story delves into more complex and intense themes of war and revenge within the Na’vi society.
‘Zootopia 2’ (2026)

Disney’s “Zootopia+” revisits the vibrant city of Zootopia with Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde tackling a brand-new case. This time, the arrival of reptiles sparks fear and uncertainty among the animal citizens. Newcomer Ke Huy Quan plays a secretive snake named Gary, who seems to hold the answers to the unfolding mystery. Like the first film, it blends clever social themes with the fun, fast-paced energy of a buddy-cop story.
‘Dracula’ (2026)

Luc Besson’s new film is a visually stunning and romantic take on the story of Dracula. Caleb Landry Jones plays the vampire Count as he journeys to Paris hoping to find the woman he believes is the reincarnation of his lost love. The movie focuses on the sad love story at the heart of the character, rather than just trying to scare audiences. It’s known for its striking style, with beautiful costumes and sets that create a truly unique look.
‘Stray Kids: The dominATE Experience’ (2026)

This concert film showcases the incredible global success of this K-pop group, documenting their huge world tour. It combines exciting concert footage from SoFi Stadium with personal, behind-the-scenes interviews with the group members. The film gives viewers a look at how they create their music and performances, and the hard work that goes into their elaborate dances. Fans can enjoy stunning, large-screen versions of their most popular songs.
‘Iron Lung’ (2026)

Markiplier, a popular YouTuber, both directed and stars in this scary, tightly-focused movie, which is based on an independent video game. The film takes place in a future after a disaster, where a prisoner has to navigate a submarine through a blood-filled ocean on an alien moon. While trying to photograph important materials, he’s stalked by hidden creatures lurking below. The movie builds tension using its small, enclosed spaces and unsettling sound effects.
‘Solo Mio’ (2026)

This romantic comedy stars Kevin James as a man who, after being left at the altar, decides to take his honeymoon to Rome by himself. Along the way, he rediscovers his zest for life, connecting with interesting people and learning to accept himself. The film has been a big financial win for Angel Studios, proving their success with feel-good comedies.
‘Send Help’ (2026)

Sam Raimi’s new horror film is a huge box office hit! It stars Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien as colleagues who find themselves stranded on a deserted island after a plane crash. As they struggle to survive the elements, their competitive relationship quickly becomes dangerous and fueled by suspicion. Critics are loving the movie’s mix of frightening moments and Raimi’s trademark dark comedy.
