Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s Case Hits Latest Update

The court case between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has been rescheduled. It was initially planned to begin on March 9, 2026, but will now start on May 18. The trial is taking place in a New York federal court.

Judge Lewis J. Liman announced the news during a court hearing on December 9th. He explained that two previously scheduled criminal trials would take priority, stating, “as important as this case is… criminal trials come first.”

The case will continue on January 22nd with a hearing where the judge will listen to arguments about whether to decide parts of the case without a full trial.

In December 2024, Lively sued Baldoni and others, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation, and is asking for more than $160 million in damages. Baldoni has denied the claims. A countersuit he filed – seeking $400 million and accusing Lively of extortion and defamation – was dismissed by the judge.

I saw that Justin Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, recently talked to TMZ. He basically said Justin is confident in himself and what happened, and he really wants the truth to come out – but he wants to do it right, in court. He’s ready to share his side of the story and finally set the record straight when the time comes.

In June, Lively also spoke about the situation on Instagram, sharing that she’s “more determined than ever to support every woman’s right to protect herself and share her own story, with her safety, well-being, and dignity respected.”
