‘Chris Hemsworth: A Road Trip to Remember’ (2025)

In this National Geographic documentary, Chris Hemsworth and his father, Craig, embark on a personal journey to explore memory and connection after Craig’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis. With the help of psychologist Dr. Suraj Samtani, they revisit important places from Chris’s childhood, including a recreation of their 1990s home and familiar locations in the Australian outback. Directed by Tom Barbor-Might and starring Chris, Craig, and Leonie Hemsworth, the film will be available to stream on Disney+ from November 24th to 30th, 2025.

‘A Very Jonas Christmas Movie’ (2025)

I’m so excited about this new holiday comedy! The Jonas Brothers – Kevin, Joe, and Nick – are playing themselves in a movie about their crazy race to get home to New York for Christmas. Apparently, everything goes wrong during their travels, which sounds hilarious! Jessica Yu directed it, and the cast is amazing – Chloe Bennet, Priyanka Chopra Jonas (of course!), Randall Park, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson are all in it. The previews show a lot of funny physical comedy, sweet family moments, and lots of Christmas carols. It’s one of the big releases this week on Disney+, along with something called Comic Basics.

‘Love+War’ (2025)

This National Geographic documentary tells the story of Lynsey Addario, an award-winning photojournalist who covers conflicts around the world. The film, directed by Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin, follows Addario as she works in dangerous places like the Middle East and Ukraine, and explores the sacrifices she makes for her work. With beautiful visuals by Thorsten Thielow and a moving score by Claudia Sarne, this feature-length documentary will be available on Disney+ in early November 2025.

‘Madame Web’ (2024)

This thrilling new movie, inspired by Marvel comics, centers on Cassandra Webb, a New York paramedic who starts having visions that connect her to three young women in danger. Directed by S. J. Clarkson and written by a team including Clarkson, Matt Sazama, Burk Sharpless, and Claire Parker, the film stars Dakota Johnson, along with Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced, Celeste O’Connor, Tahar Rahim, Emma Roberts, and Adam Scott. It’s now available on Disney+.

‘Coco’ (2017)

As a total cinema lover, I was completely swept away by Coco. It tells the story of Miguel, a young musician who somehow ends up in the Land of the Dead, and it’s all about discovering why his family has distanced itself from music for so long. Lee Unkrich and Adrian Molina did an amazing job directing – it’s funny, genuinely moving, and beautifully respectful of the culture it portrays. The music, especially the song ‘Remember Me,’ isn’t just catchy; it really drives the story and the characters’ emotions. The voice acting is fantastic too, with Anthony Gonzalez, Gael García Bernal, and Benjamin Bratt all delivering incredible performances. It’s no surprise it became one of the biggest hits on Disney+ – it’s a truly special film.

‘Incredibles 2’ (2018)

Elastigirl focuses on rebuilding the public image of superheroes, while Bob deals with the challenges of raising his family. The film, directed and written by Brad Bird, is full of creative action sequences, introduces a new villain called the Screenslaver, and explores the wild abilities of Jack-Jack. Michael Giacchino’s music perfectly balances the film’s exciting action with its funny family moments, and it’s currently very popular on Disney+.

‘The Incredibles’ (2004)

The Parr family, with their double lives as superheroes, are at the heart of this exciting story, set in a stylish, futuristic world. Directed by Brad Bird and starring the voices of Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, and Samuel L. Jackson, the film is celebrated for its cool jazz soundtrack and creative action sequences. It’s a classic superhero movie and consistently ranks among the most popular titles on Disney+.

‘Ratatouille’ (2007)

Ratatouille tells the story of Remy, a rat who dreams of becoming a chef. He partners with a young kitchen worker named Linguini, and together they try to cook at a famous restaurant in Paris, believing that anyone can cook. The movie, directed by Brad Bird, is celebrated for its incredibly detailed food animation and fun music by Michael Giacchino. Memorable characters like the strict food critic Anton Ego and the head chef Skinner add to the excitement. It’s currently a popular choice for viewers on Disney+.

‘Hocus Pocus’ (1993)

This story takes place in Salem and centers around the return of the Sanderson sisters, accidentally brought back to life when a teenager lights a special candle. The movie, directed by Kenny Ortega and starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, is a fun mix of witchcraft and humor as the sisters adjust to the modern world. With its impressive practical effects, memorable songs, and charming Halloween atmosphere, it remains a popular choice for viewers. It’s currently one of the most-watched films on Disney+.

‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ (1993)

The Nightmare Before Christmas is a charming stop-motion musical about Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King, who stumbles upon Christmas Town and tries to bring Christmas to his spooky home. Directed by Henry Selick and produced by Tim Burton, with music and a voice performance by Danny Elfman, the film’s unique handmade animation creates a wonderfully dark and magical atmosphere. It’s currently the most popular movie on the streaming service, perfectly blending Halloween and Christmas spirit.
