Need something new to watch on Paramount+ this weekend? Here are ten suggestions – a mix of recent additions and currently popular titles. We’ve included a quick rundown of what each show or movie is about, who stars in it, and when it became available on the service.
‘The Naked Gun’ (2025)
The latest installment in ‘The Naked Gun’ series continues the spoof-police tradition with Lt. Frank Drebin Jr. working to save his police squad from closure while solving a major crime. Starring Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, Kevin Durand, and Danny Huston, the film is directed by Akiva Schaffer and produced by Fuzzy Door Productions for Paramount. It’s currently the most popular movie on Paramount+ this week.
‘Vicious’ (2025)
‘Vicious,’ written and directed by Bryan Bertino, follows Polly, a woman who receives a strange box and a terrifying prophecy: she will die that night. This sets off a night of unsettling and surreal events. Starring Dakota Fanning, the film explores Polly’s past as she struggles to meet the box’s increasingly difficult demands. ‘Vicious’ first premiered at Fantastic Fest and became available on Paramount+ in October 2025, quickly becoming one of the platform’s most popular titles.
‘Regretting You’ (2025)
‘Regretting You’ is a movie based on Colleen Hoover’s novel, exploring a complex mother-daughter relationship tested by a tragic event and hidden secrets. Allison Williams and Mckenna Grace star as Morgan and Clara Grant, with Dave Franco and Mason Thames also featuring prominently. Josh Boone directed the film, written by Susan McMartin, and it premiered on Paramount+ on October 24th. The movie combines a teenage love story with themes of adult loss and finding forgiveness.
‘Fight or Flight’ (2025)
Okay, so I recently checked out this really fun action comedy, and the whole thing basically takes place on a plane! It follows this mercenary, Lucas Reyes, played by Josh Hartnett, who’s trying to track down this mysterious hacker nicknamed “The Ghost.” But things get complicated fast because it turns out other assassins are also on the flight! James Madigan directed, and the script was written by Brooks McLaren and D. J. Cotrona. It had a bit of an interesting release – it started in cinemas, then went digital, and now you can find it streaming on Paramount+. What really makes it work are these intense action sequences – everything’s crammed into the small space of the plane, and the fight choreography feels really raw and improvised, which keeps the pace going.
‘Top Gun: Maverick’ (2022)
Tom Cruise is back as Maverick in a new ‘Top Gun’ movie, this time training a group of talented young pilots for a dangerous mission that connects to the first film. The filmmakers used real planes and innovative camera technology to film incredible aerial stunts. The movie, a major success for Paramount Pictures and Skydance, received numerous award nominations and continues to be popular with Paramount+ subscribers.
‘Shooter’ (2007)
Based on Stephen Hunter’s novel ‘Point of Impact’, the movie ‘Shooter’ tells the story of Bob Lee Swagger, a skilled Marine sniper who is wrongly accused of trying to kill someone. He was actually brought in to prevent an assassination. The film stars Mark Wahlberg, along with Michael Peña, Danny Glover, Kate Mara, and Elias Koteas. Produced by di Bonaventura Pictures and distributed by Paramount, ‘Shooter’ combines realistic military action with a suspenseful conspiracy plot, and it’s currently gaining popularity on streaming services.
‘Step Brothers’ (2008)
The comedy ‘Step Brothers’ follows Brennan Huff and Dale Doback, two men who act like kids and are unexpectedly forced to become roommates when their single parents get married. Starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly, and directed by Adam McKay, the film also features Richard Jenkins, Mary Steenburgen, Adam Scott, and Kathryn Hahn. Originally produced by Gary Sanchez Productions and released by Sony, ‘Step Brothers’ has become very popular on streaming services and is currently trending on Paramount+.
‘She’s Out of My League’ (2010)
‘She’s Out of My League’ is a comedy filmed in Pittsburgh about Kirk, an average airport security worker, who unexpectedly begins a relationship with the beautiful and successful Molly. His friends and family are surprised by the pairing. The movie stars Jay Baruchel and Alice Eve, with supporting roles played by T. J. Miller and Krysten Ritter. Jim Field Smith directed the film, which was written by Sean Anders and John Morris, and produced by DreamWorks Pictures before being distributed by Paramount. Several Pittsburgh landmarks, including PNC Park, appear in the movie.
‘Grown Ups’ (2010)
‘Grown Ups’ brings together former childhood friends and their families for a weekend at the lake, following the passing of their old coach. The movie stars Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, and Rob Schneider, and was directed by Dennis Dugan. Produced by Happy Madison and distributed by Columbia Pictures, it was a big financial success and led to a follow-up film. You can now find it streaming as part of the popular comedy lineup on Paramount+.
‘Fifty Shades of Black’ (2016)
This comedy follows college student Hannah Steele and wealthy businessman Christian Black as they navigate a hilarious take on the typical billionaire romance story, packed with references to popular culture. Directed by Michael Tiddes and written by Marlon Wayans and Rick Alvarez, the film also stars Affion Crockett, Jane Seymour, and Mike Epps. Produced by IM Global and Baby Way Productions, the 92-minute movie debuted on Paramount+ between October 13th and 19th, 2025.
