‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’ Season 2 Sets Release Window With Venom and Gwen Stacy Joining the Story

Okay, fellow Marvel fans, I’ve got some good news! Marvel just announced that season two of *Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man* is officially coming to Disney+ in Fall 2026. It’s a bit of a wait, but I’m already excited to see what adventures are in store for Spidey!

During the Marvel Animation panel at New York Comic Con, attendees got a special preview of future storylines for Spider-Man, Peter Parker.

The new trailer excited fans with a glimpse of what’s coming in the show. It revealed that Venom, a famous Spider-Man villain, will appear as an animated character, and that Gwen Stacy will also be introduced.

The announcement also verified that Charlie Cox will return as Daredevil, further blending Marvel’s live-action and animated universes.

The new season will also feature the return of familiar faces like Norman and Harry Osborn, Doctor Octopus, Chameleon, and Scorpion. We also got a glimpse of Nico Minoru learning to control her magical abilities, which will be important to the story.

Hudson Thames plays Peter Parker in a new animated series that exists outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, separate from the version played by Tom Holland. This Peter isn’t guided by Tony Stark; instead, his story revolves around Norman Osborn, voiced by Colman Domingo. Osborn, the head of Oscorp, offers Peter and his friends internships, but his motives are suspicious.

This Spider-Man series features fresh faces alongside the classic hero, including influencer Harry Osborn (voiced by Zeno Robinson) and the magically-powered Nico Minoru (Grace Song). The voice acting team also includes Eugene Byrd as Tombstone, Hugh Dancy as Otto Octavius, Kari Wahlgren as Aunt May, Aleks Le as Amadeus Cho, and Jonathan Medina as Scorpion.

The first season concluded with a lot of surprising events. Doctor Strange teamed up with Spider-Man to battle the Venom symbiote, an alien creature from another world. Meanwhile, Norman Osborn secretly saved a sample of Venom for his own experiments. Most shockingly, Peter discovered his father, Richard Parker, wasn’t actually dead, but had been held captive.

With returning characters, fresh partnerships, and formidable foes, the second season is shaping up to be a thrilling continuation filled with plenty of action and intrigue for Spider-Man fans.
