Star Wars IMDb Ratings Chart Shows Fans Rated The Acolyte as Garbage

A recently shared chart analyzes IMDb ratings for all live-action Star Wars shows, and the results aren’t great for The Acolyte.

The Chart

This data visualization brings together ratings from every episode of The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, Ahsoka, The Acolyte, and Skeleton Crew. Colors are used to show different quality levels (see the complete chart below):

  • Elite (9.5+) – dark green
  • Awesome (8.8–9.4) – light green
  • Great (8.0–8.7) – green
  • Good (7.5–7.9) – yellow
  • Regular (7.0–7.4) – orange
  • Bad (6.0–6.9) – red
  • Garbage (<6.0) – purple

The Winners

Andor is particularly exceptional, with several “Elite” episodes scoring 9.5 or higher. The majority of the show consistently receives ratings between 8.0 and 9.0+.

The Mandalorian continues to be highly rated, generally scoring in the upper 8s and lower 9s. This solidifies its position as one of the most consistently well-received Star Wars shows, although ratings for Season 3 were somewhat lower.

Ahsoka landed in the middle tier, scoring mostly between 7.3 and 8.5.

The Losers

The Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi were both inconsistent. Each show had some episodes considered poor (scoring between 6.0 and 6.9), but also included stronger installments that lifted their overall quality into the “good” category.

Skeleton Crew, still early in its run, has been middling so far with ratings around 6.8–7.7.

The Acolyte Gets Trashed

The most important thing to note is how The Acolyte was received. Viewers on IMDb heavily criticized the show, with several episodes being labeled as “garbage” and ratings dropping as low as 3.7. The majority of episodes received scores under 6.0, making it significantly lower-rated than all other live-action series.

For comparison:

  • The lowest Obi-Wan Kenobi episode was a 6.4.
  • The lowest Boba Fett episode also came in at 6.4.
  • The Acolyte didn’t just dip into the 6s—it crashed into the 3s, something no other Star Wars live-action series has done.

The Acolyte is at the bottom of Star Wars

As a fan, I’m really disappointed with The Acolyte. According to IMDb users, it’s not just a weak entry in the Star Wars universe – it seems to be in a league of its own when it comes to being one of the worst shows ever made!

Although Andor and The Mandalorian proved that people still want well-made Star Wars stories, The Acolyte is probably going to be known as the worst live-action Star Wars show so far. Disney and Lucasfilm have now decided to cancel the series.
