The thrilling exploits of Critical Role have been adapted into a hit anime series and will soon be expanded into a video game: Critical Role has teamed up with AdHoc Studios to create a game set in the world of Exandria, home to their most popular Dungeons & Dragons campaigns.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with some incredible talents from Critical Role – Travis Willingham, Laura Bailey, and Matthew Mercer – on AdHoc’s exciting adventure game, Dispatch. Joining forces with none other than Aaron Paul and Jeffrey Wright, this project promises to be a thrilling ride!
According to Variety, the trio was so taken by the project that they ultimately decided to collaborate with the studio for the Critical Role game.
In other words, as per Willingham, the game project is currently in a brainstorming stage where ideas are being thrown around, but there’s still no set budget, timeline, or key details established at this point.
