Vincent D’Onofrio has announced that the filming for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 has been completed successfully.
The Kingpin actor took to X to share the news, posting:
The Daredevil Born Again project is complete! Can’t wait for DD fans to see the hard work we’ve put into it. Thanks to Disney+ and Marvel for making this possible!
In the Netflix series Daredevil, D’Onofrio initially took on the role of Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin. He subsequently reappeared in the roles of Kingpin in Hawkeye and Echo.
Uncertain Future For Season 3
With Season 2 now completed, it’s uncertain what lies ahead for the show. Previously, it was mentioned that D’Onofrio suggested that the possibility of Season 3 hinges entirely on the viewers’ reactions.
“If they allow us to continue, we have a plan,” he said. “It’s up to the fans.”
Fans of the show “Born Again” are optimistic that the second season will address the issues that led to its poor performance in ratings and mixed reviews among long-term viewers, with the intention of improving the series.
More Marvel Changes?
From a die-hard movie fan here: I’m super pumped about the upcoming second season! It looks like they’re diving deeper into the grittier side of the original Netflix series, which I can’t wait to see. Matt Murdock, played by Charlie Cox, is back in action, and it seems that Jessica Jones, portrayed by Krysten Ritter, will be joining him once more. There’s even talk about some other Marvel Netflix characters making a comeback – fingers crossed!
It’s been verified that Jon Bernthal will appear as The Punisher in the upcoming Spider-Man 4, and he’s currently developing a standalone Punisher series for Disney+.
It’s uncertain if that will be enough to reignite enthusiasm for a potential third season of “Daredevil: Born Again,” but only time will tell.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is expected March 2026 on Disney+.
