We want to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who has been eagerly awaiting our game’s release on Steam.
So, we’ve been working towards getting the game on Steam for ages, but we hit a snag with their rules. Basically, there’s something we can’t fix in the current build to meet their requirements, which is super frustrating. We’re holding off on the launch for now because of it.
After extensive internal discussion, we have decided not to proceed with a Steam release.
We deeply regret disappointing all of you who were waiting and cheering us on.
We explored several ways to get the game released, but ultimately decided that changing things now would compromise the game’s vision and quality. So, we won’t be making those adjustments at this time.
To those who supported us with the Steam launch, we’re still delivering all the rewards we promised, such as:
Community event rewards related to Steam, and Wishlist milestone rewards
These will be sent out after the December 16 update.
We’re looking into different options for running BrownDust2 on PCs to improve the experience, and we’ll let you know what we decide as soon as we can.
We’re truly sorry we fell short of your expectations, and we’re committed to providing you with a better, more reliable experience going forward.
