ZZZ 2.0 Preview PV teases new Agents, including a big robot, a dragon with a tail-gun, and a panda

HoYoverse is significantly building anticipation for Version 2.0 of Zenless Zone Zero, and the latest tool in their marketing arsenal is quite enticing: The ZZZ 2.0 Preview Video offers fans a sneak peek at the forthcoming plotline as well as hints about possible new Agents who might join the roster of playable characters – and there are some truly thrilling concepts to get excited about.

As Belle and Wise transition to a new area within New Eridu, they appear to don fresh attire that aligns with its tranquil and traditional atmosphere. Characters such as Yi Xuan and her apprentice, Ju Fufu (who was previously seen in the game), will be making an appearance in the trailer. It’s worth noting that Yi Xuan was recently unveiled during a livestream highlighting ZZZ’s Xbox adaptation.

Intriguingly, one sequence features a muscular robot and a young girl resembling a dragon, who wields a gun attached to her tail, both dressed in attire reminiscent of the New Eridu Defense Forces. Since Obol Squad, the team that Soldier 11 and Trigger are part of, is set to have a significant impact on the unfolding narrative, it’s plausible that these characters could be their comrades, given that the name Seed, emblazoned on the giant robot, has previously appeared in the game in relation to the team.

In the narrative, since Captain Magus is clearly depicted as a male character, it’s highly improbable that he could be the Dragon Lady. This role, hinted at by Trigger, might instead be filled by Orphie.

Other potential characters who could be playable Agents include:

1. A small rabbit girl armed with a large axe, often seen with a self-satisfied expression, possibly accompanied by an HIA investigator.
2. A burly panda, casually browsing through a store in one scene.
3. A cat man dressed in punk attire, making his way through an alleyway.
4. Two girls who seem to be in some sort of hidden or underground location. One investigates places and appears to be causing fear in the other’s pet.
5. Two individuals wearing uniforms similar to Yi Xuan and Ju Fufu. These include a woman at the end of the teaser and a man with long blonde hair, who was briefly seen behind Belle and Wise earlier in the video. They may belong to Yi Xuan’s faction.

These characters are candidates for playable Agents in the game.

From a narrative standpoint, we’re delving deeper into the political intrigue surrounding the T.O.P.S. Alliance and the Exaltist Cult. The character Sarah, who is often antagonistic, seems to exhibit fear or unease regarding the enigmatic cult leader hinted at in the trailer.

ZZZ 2.0 is coming to PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS, and Android in June 2025.
