As a huge movie fan, I’ve been checking out what’s trending on Disney+, and it’s no surprise they’re still leading the pack! Right now, it’s a really nice mix of all my favorite holiday movies and exciting first looks at what’s coming up. Looking at the top ten, it’s clear people are loving both animated films and live-action family adventures – something for everyone, really.
‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ (2022)

Jake Sully has built a new life and family on the planet Pandora. When a dangerous enemy returns, Jake teams up with Neytiri and the Na’vi people to defend their home. Forced to leave their forest home, the family seeks shelter with the Metkayina, a Na’vi clan who live in the oceans of Pandora. This exciting film reveals more about Pandora, showcasing incredible new creatures and cultures.
‘Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show’ (2025)

This concert film showcases the last show of Taylor Swift’s incredibly popular Eras Tour. It’s packed with energetic performances covering all stages of her career, featuring stunning sets and costumes. The film captures the excitement and emotion of the final night as Taylor celebrates her music with her fans. It’s a memorable record of a tour that broke records for attendance and earnings around the world.
‘The Fantastic 4: First Steps’ (2025)

Marvel Studios is bringing the Fantastic Four to the big screen in a new adventure with a classic, 1960s vibe. Led by Reed Richards, the team encounters strange cosmic events that give them amazing powers. They’ll have to learn to work together as a family to save the world from a dangerous threat. This movie will launch them into future Marvel stories.
‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ (2000)

Jim Carrey plays the Grinch, a grumpy and isolated creature who can’t stand Christmas or the cheerful people of Whoville. He comes up with a plan to steal all the gifts and decorations, hoping to completely ruin the holiday for the town. But his scheme is complicated when he meets Cindy Lou Who, a young girl who’s trying to discover the real spirit of Christmas. Directed by Ron Howard, this movie is a live-action version of the beloved Dr. Seuss story, brought to life with impressive costumes and sets.
‘Avatar: Fire and Ash | A Special Look’ (2025)

Get a first look at the next movie in James Cameron’s popular science fiction series! This preview introduces a new Na’vi tribe, the Ash People, who are fierce and live in volcanic areas. The footage hints at exciting new environments and a growing conflict as Jake Sully and his family face surprising enemies. With stunning visuals and new character designs, this sneak peek will get you hyped for the next part of the story.
‘Freakier Friday’ (2025)

Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are back in a new movie where they magically switch bodies again! This time, instead of swapping with each other, Tess and Anna find themselves in each other’s family members’ bodies, leading to hilarious chaos. They have to figure out how to switch back before a big family event, all while dealing with the ups and downs of their personal lives and careers. The movie is a funny and heartwarming look at the complicated relationships between mothers and daughters across different generations.
‘Zootopia 2 | A Special Look’ (2025)

This sneak peek shows what’s coming up for Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde! It reveals new areas of the animal city and introduces the characters they’ll meet. Fans get a first look at the mystery the officers will be investigating in the upcoming sequel, which continues the story’s exploration of important social issues through a fun, animated world.
‘Home Alone 2: Lost in New York’ (1992)

Okay, so “Home Alone 2” basically throws Kevin McCallister into another holiday mishap – this time, he’s lost in New York City! He somehow ends up at the Plaza Hotel and has a blast exploring, but naturally, the Wet Bandits from the first movie escape and find him. It’s the same clever kid versus bumbling criminals setup as before, but bigger and more elaborate. Kevin turns a fancy hotel room into a hilarious, over-the-top trap house to foil their attempt to rob a toy store. It’s not reinventing the wheel, but it delivers the same fun, family-friendly action on a much grander scale. Think of it as the original, but with a bigger city and bigger pranks!
‘Home Alone’ (1990)

When a young boy named Kevin is mistakenly left home alone during his family’s Christmas trip to Paris, he first enjoys the independence. But his vacation takes a turn when he has to protect his house from two silly burglars, the ‘Wet Bandits.’ Kevin cleverly rigs up a series of traps to stop them from breaking in. This beloved holiday film mixes hilarious physical comedy with touching scenes about family and the magic of Christmas.
‘Zootopia’ (2016)

I absolutely loved Zootopia! It’s about Judy Hopps, this super enthusiastic rookie rabbit cop, and she ends up partnering with Nick Wilde, a really sly fox who’s a bit of a con artist. Together, they stumble onto this huge mystery – predators are going missing all over the city! As they investigate, they realize something really big is going on, and it forces them to deal with a lot of prejudice. It’s amazing to watch them learn to trust each other, even though they’re supposed to be natural enemies. It’s a classic buddy cop story, but it also has a really important message about stereotypes and accepting everyone, which I thought was brilliant.
