As a Grandmaster, you excel in crafting the top-tier build for Zenless Zone Zero‘s Yixuan character, demonstrating prowess comparable to a Void Hunter. Notably, Yixuan is a distinctive ZZZ character, being the initial Rupture Agent and possessing a distinct Damage Type reminiscent of Ether DMG, which she calls Auric Ink.
As a gamer, I don’t have the conventional Energy reserve, but I tap into my own adrenaline to unleash more potent versions of my abilities, like those explosive EX Special Attacks. Fueling up on adrenaline also gives me Technique Points, which I use to supercharge my second Ultimate.
As a Fracture Agent, Yixuan possesses the abilities Sheer Strength (which grows with her maximum health) and Sheer Damage. Sheer Damage bypasses enemy defense and is amplified by Sheer Strength. Each hit of Auric Ink Damage also causes additional Sheer Damage. Much like Miyabi’s Frost Damage, Auric Ink Damage has a distinct Anomaly Buildup meter separate from Ether Damage. Activating an Anomaly rewards Yixuan with extra Adrenaline.
- Role: Rupture
- Damage Type: Ether (Auric Ink)
- Faction: Yunkui Summit
- Rarity: S-Rank
To increase your Adrenaline level, you should opt for Yixuan’s standard attacks. Once the Adrenaline is sufficient, use it to trigger EX Special Attacks. These special moves cause a significant amount of damage with Auric Ink.
Yixuan’s unique move lets her dodge by stepping back slightly. Her EX Special Attack can be powered up, during which any enemy attacks are nullified and returned as a counter-strike. If an enemy strikes Yixuan at the precise instant when the charge-up is finished, she performs a flawless block, replenishing her Adrenaline and enabling her to perform additional moves in quick succession.
An alternate EX move – triggered by sustaining a Basic Attack with sufficient Adrenaline – inflicts continuous damage on surrounding enemies as it charges. Once activated, Yixuan can perform a Perfect Dodge to enter Vital View upon completion of the charge-up. If the charge is completed or interrupted, she will deal Auric Ink damage at the end of the move.
As a dedicated fan, I’d put it this way: Whenever Yixuan accumulates sufficient Decibels, she can unleash her standard Ultimate, dealing Auric Ink damage to enemies. But Now, if Yixuan manages to gather enough Technique Points on top of her Decibels, she can swap to a different Ultimate by spending those Technique Points. This one deals less Auric Ink damage, but creates an Auric Ink Point instead. The best part? Since this second Ultimate doesn’t require Decibels, Yixuan can follow it up immediately with the first one!
Auric Ink Markers allow you to trigger the potent fundamental move called Auric Spiral. This ability generates a spinning vortex of ink that draws adversaries towards it and repeatedly inflicts Auric Ink damage on them. At the same time, Yixuan becomes invincible during this action.
In Yixuan’s team setup, having at least one Stun, Support, or Defense character boosts her collaborative skills. Whenever a teammate uses their Ultimate ability, she regains Adrenaline. Furthermore, when Yixuan is replaced with a Perfect Assist, she gets an extra attack. Her EX Special Attacks inflict extra damage on stunned opponents and her Ultimate raises her Critical Damage momentarily.
Yixuan’s Imaginative Film Studio, whose power can be amplified by acquiring multiple copies of herself, exhibits these features:
Yixuan’s Creative Movie Realm, which gains strength from having additional Yixuans, showcases the following abilities:
Level | Effects |
---|---|
1 | – Yixuan gains +10% CRIT Rate and 120 TP when entering combat (once every 180s in Investigation Zone Mode).

– Ultimate: Qingming Skyshade extends Stun duration by 3s. – Ultimate: Endless Talisman Suppression creates Condensed Ink, which can be used to activate EX Special Attack: Endless Talisman Suppression – Break to deal damage based on 1,200% of Sheer Force. |

ZZZ – Yixuan: best W-Engines
Yixuan’s primary asset lies in her immense Damage Output, which is amplified by her Maximum Health. Her distinctive ability, W-Engine Qingming Birdcage, offers a substantial Health Increase and grants Critical Rate. Furthermore, her weapon enhances Ether Damage Output (equivalent to Auric Ink Damage for Yixuan) temporarily after an EX Special Attack – a benefit that can be stacked up to twice following such an attack.
Best W-Engines for Yixuan in ZZZ:
- Qingming Birdcage (S-Rank)
- Radiowave Journey (A-Rank)
- Puzzle Sphere (A-Rank)
- [Cinder] Cobalt (B-Rank)
ZZZ – Yixuan: best Drive Discs
Apart from HP, Yixuan aims to boost Critical Rate and Critical Damage for maximum damage potential. Attack is essentially a supplementary stat for her, contributing to her overall damage in the end. Energy Regeneration isn’t necessary since Yixuan doesn’t utilize this resource, and Anomaly Damage is of secondary importance too.
Best Drive Disc sets for Yixuan in ZZZ:
- Yunkui Tales (4) + Branch & Blade Song (2) – +10% HP, +4% CRIT Rate when using EX Special Attack, Chain Attack, or Ultimate for 15s (stacking up to 3 times), +10% Sheer Force when all 3 stacks of this effect are active, +16% CRIT DMG.
Best Drive Disc stats for Yixuan in ZZZ:
- Partition 1 – HP (Primary), CRIT DMG, CRIT Rate, HP %, ATK %
- Partition 2 – ATK (Primary), CRIT DMG, CRIT Rate, HP %, ATK %
- Partition 3 – DEF (Primary), CRIT DMG, CRIT Rate, HP %, ATK %

ZZZ – Yixuan: best teams
Yixuan prefers to focus primarily on combat as her main role, but she also recognizes the value of periodic position changes to boost her Adrenaline recharge rate.
- Yixuan (Main DPS), Vivian (Sub DPS), Pan Yinhu (Support)
- Bangboo: Belion / Robin
In this competition, Yixuan is primarily responsible for inflicting damage and spends the majority of her time on the battlefield. Vivian makes an ideal Sub DPS for her because she doesn’t require much field presence, and Yixuan’s frequent EX Special Attacks can consistently trigger Abloom. Pan Yinhu is a great choice to support Rupture Agents in this context, as he streamlines rotations, offers moderate healing, and boosts the Sheer Force of incoming agents for Yixuan.
Once again, Astra Yao proves to be a robust substitute, bolstering the team. Other support agents such as Nicole, Lucy, and Rina could also lend their strengths, and Caesar offers additional security should it be required.

Once you’ve acquired Yixuan, it would be beneficial to elevate her to the highest level promptly to utilize her skills effectively in battles. Here’s a list of items necessary for her advancement up to Level 60:
