Zendaya and Tom Holland seem destined to be together. The couple, who first worked together on “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” have been dating for quite a while. In a recent interview with Robert Pattinson for Interview Magazine, Zendaya was asked about what she considers dealbreakers in a relationship. As she was answering, her boyfriend, Tom Holland, subtly showed he’d already passed the test – all without saying a word!
Zendaya shares how Tom Holland overcomes a big relationship red flag for her
She explained the difference between serious warning signs in a relationship and things people only realize after getting to know someone. One thing she pays close attention to is how people treat those around them – specifically, how they interact with coworkers on a film set when cameras aren’t rolling. This gives her a good sense of their true character. Another key indicator for the 29-year-old is how someone behaves around animals, as she’s fiercely protective of her own pets and believes that dogs can accurately reveal a person’s true nature.
Right after that, the actress mentioned her dog barked when Tom Holland came home, and she smoothly brought it up in the conversation. In that moment, her dog seemed to give Tom a pass without him even needing to do anything! Robert Pattinson then playfully asked if she quickly decides whether someone is trustworthy based on her first impression.
She acknowledges that people are complicated and often contradictory. She believes this is due to a mix of factors – everyone makes mistakes, cultural backgrounds influence behavior, and people simply have different standards of politeness. Plus, she notes that people change over time, and you might discover new sides to someone even after knowing them for years.
The couple announced their engagement in January 2025, after getting engaged privately in December 2024.
