The live-action Legend of Zelda movie by Nintendo has been given a new launch date – May 7, 2027. Interestingly, this was previously reserved for Marvel’s Avengers: Secret Wars, which has now shifted to December 17, 2027.
Miyamoto announced on social media that due to production factors, the release date for the live-action movie adaptation of ‘The Legend of Zelda’ has been moved to May 7, 2027.
He mentioned, ‘The release date may be delayed a bit from what was initially planned, giving us more time to ensure the movie is of the highest quality possible. Your understanding and patience are greatly appreciated.’
Miyamoto here! Due to certain production factors, we’ve decided to adjust the launch date of The Legend of Zelda live-action movie to May 7, 2027. This means a slight delay from our initial announcement, but we believe taking this additional time will help us create an outstanding film that truly does justice to the original story.

He battles against wicked forces, overcomes challenges by solving intricate puzzles, and embarks on grand adventures through mesmerizing fantasy landscapes. His goal is to save Princess Zelda and safeguard the kingdom of Hyrule. The series combines action, adventure, and puzzle-solving elements with themes such as courage, magic, and old prophecies. Most games in the series involve gathering potent artifacts, defeating powerful enemies in dungeons, and ultimately vanquishing a main antagonist, frequently the malevolent warlord Ganon.
