Snyder often shares previously unreleased photos from his work on the DC Extended Universe, and his most recent post immediately caught people’s eye.
This image shows a grimmer, more ruined version of the Joker, as he appears in the Knightmare scene. It’s a significant departure from his look in the 2016 film Suicide Squad, which featured prominent tattoos and a gangster style.
Jared Leto’s take on the Joker has sparked a lot of debate. Some people loved his wild and unpredictable acting, while others thought it was too different from earlier portrayals, especially Heath Ledger’s.
Zack Snyder’s longer version of Justice League allowed Jared Leto another opportunity to portray the Joker. Many viewers felt his brief scene in the Knightmare sequence was more impactful and subtle, and better suited Snyder’s dark and realistic style.
