Zack Snyder recently revealed more behind-the-scenes content from his work on the DC Universe movies, including some particularly rare and interesting details.
Over the past day, Zack Snyder shared a collection of behind-the-scenes photos from the 2016 Justice League filming. These included uncommon pictures of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck suited up as Superman and Batman, Snyder directing scenes with the Amazons, a shirtless workout shot of Cavill, and a previously unseen black-and-white photo of Ezra Miller as The Flash.

But that’s not all.
Zack Snyder revealed several pages from the storyboards of his planned Justice League sequel, showcasing plot points that ultimately weren’t used in the movie.

Snyder’s Unused Justice League 2 and 3 Storyboards
These storyboards, previously displayed at the “SnyderVerse” exhibit in Dallas, show how the DC Extended Universe was intended to continue after the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League, and they include:
- A post-apocalyptic Knightmare future ruled by Darkseid
- Batman leading a ragtag group of surviving Justice League members through the desert ruins of Gotham
- Flash attempting to reset the timeline
- The full-scale invasion of Earth by Darkseid’s forces
- The seven kingdoms (including Atlantis) uniting under Superman’s leadership

Snyder initially envisioned the sequels as one large story told in two parts, culminating in an epic finale similar to ‘The Lord of the Rings.’ This finale would have prominently featured Wonder Woman and her people, Aquaman and the underwater kingdoms, and Superman guiding humanity forward.

First-Ever Look at Ezra Miller’s Flash
One of the most striking photos shows Ezra Miller as Barry Allen, wearing a T-shirt referencing the graphic novel Watchmen. This is a clever reference to Zack Snyder’s film adaptation of Watchmen.
As a huge fan of Zack Snyder’s work, I was really excited to see him finally share a dedicated, solo photo of Ezra Miller as The Flash from Justice League. We’ve seen promotional shots before, of course, but this is the first time Snyder himself has posted one – it’s a small thing, but it felt special!
The image was likely taken during the 2016 shoot, well before The Flash movie was even in production.

Context and Timing
Director Zack Snyder has been consistently sharing images from his personal archives—featuring actors like Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck, and Ezra Miller—which has sparked renewed excitement among fans about a possible return to making superhero movies.
Zack Snyder recently announced he’s working with Korean fitness YouTuber Gym Jong Kook. He’s also been getting fans excited by regularly posting photos from his films Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, and Justice League.

Now that Netflix is working closely with Zack Snyder on his Rebel Moon project, and fans are still very interested in his previous DC films, many are hoping he’ll either continue his DC universe or finally finish the story he originally planned.
Stay tuned. With Snyder, you never know what’s coming next.
