As a longtime fan with over two decades of Ys series under my belt, I can hardly contain my excitement for ‘Ys X: Proud Nordics‘. The original ‘Nordics’ was a breath of fresh air, and I eagerly welcomed it to the West late this year. Now, Falcom is taking us back to Aland Island with an enhanced version that promises more content, new bosses, and exciting Mana Ride races.

The introduction of ‘Mana Actions’ has me intrigued, as I’m always up for a challenge. And let’s not forget the Cross Actions between Adol and Karja – the combat experience is about to get even more engaging! I’ve traversed many lands with Adol, but the prospect of exploring a larger map of Aland Island is making my adventurer’s heart race.

I must admit, some might question if these additions could have been released as updates or DLC for the existing game. But then again, who am I to argue with more Ys? After all, I’ve been known to play through a game multiple times just for the sake of experiencing it in a different way.

In the end, I’ll take every bit of adventure ‘Ys X: Proud Nordics’ has to offer. And as we eagerly await more details, let me leave you with this little joke: I heard they’re adding a new boss called “The Griefbringer.” I can’t wait to see if it lives up to its name!

Here, they encounter immortal entities called Griegr and discover numerous old ruins. However, their voyage takes an unforeseen twist when they come across another ‘Mana user’, leading to fresh escapades.

The game now includes “Mana Moves” that bring novel elements to the game experience. Players can anticipate traversing a broader expanse of Aland Island, filled with new regions to discover. Furthermore, there are new bosses to conquer, thrilling Mana Riding competitions, and combats in arenas against tough adversaries.

In their interactions, Adol and Karja offer a thrilling blend of attacking and defending moves, making the battle more immersive. The latest additions in ‘Ys X: Proud Nordics’ strive to offer players an enlivened journey of exploration.

Originally, ‘Ys X: Nordics’ was warmly accepted, but this upgraded version is anticipated to provide additional content and advancements. Some may ponder if these extra features could have been given as updates or DLC for the initial game.
