As an ardent fan of the Bachelor franchise, I must say Kaitlyn Bristowe continues to astound me with her unique and courageous approach to dealing with personal turmoil. Her “funeral service” for her past relationship is nothing short of inspiring, showcasing a deep understanding of the healing power of symbolic rituals.
Everyone handles breakups differently, and that’s no exception for Kaitlyn Bristowe. After her split with fiancé Jason Tartick, she chose an unorthodox approach to cope. Giving a glimpse into her unique method of dealing with the challenging aftermath, Kaitlyn offered a sneak peek into her experience.
On an episode of Off The Vine podcast, Bachelorette celebrity Kaitlyn Bristowe discussed her recent breakup with Amanda Hirsch. Bristowe revealed that she conducted a symbolic “funeral service” for the relationship to help emotionally move on. No actual items were buried, but this ceremony was a way to bid farewell and seek closure. She stated that while the ritual didn’t completely mend her heartache, it did positively affect her mental well-being.
If you haven’t heard yet, she had been dating Tartick for several years and chose to move forward by getting engaged in the year 2021. Unfortunately, their engagement didn’t persist, as they declared their separation in August of 2023.
Based on accounts, she had shared her feelings back in June when her former fiance made public his new romance with influencer Kat Stickler. In a confidential Facebook group, she stated that the situation was more agonizing than many might imagine, due to factors not commonly understood by others.
Later on, she made it clear in the same gathering that she wasn’t physically injured, but rather dealing with some “frustration and bitterness” that she had been harboring for a while.
As reported by the publication, her recent discussion about her split occurred a few days following her expression of romantic interest towards Zac Clark, a contestant from The Bachelor.
For those not familiar, Clark was previously engaged to Tayshia Adams, whom he met during her stint on Season 16 of The Bachelorette. In the following season, Adams and Bristowe co-hosted The Bachelorette in 2021. However, Clark and Adams parted ways during that time.
