- Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio vs. Penta
- United States Champion Jacob Fatu vs. LA Knight vs. Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre (Fatal 4-Way Match)

Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena vs. Randy Orton
John Cena will battle his longtime foe Randy Orton for the World Title at WWE Backlash, which is taking place in St. Louis, where Orton hails from. These two veterans have faced off 21 times before, with Cena leading 13-7-1. This may very well be their last encounter, given that they have a collective total of 31 World Titles.
Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio vs. Penta
At WWE Backlash, Dominik Mysterio will battle it out with Penta for the Intercontinental Championship in a fierce rematch. Since Penta wasn’t defeated at WrestleMania, he’s been given another chance, following his successful elimination of JD McDonagh, who had assisted Mysterio in retaining the title on Raw.
United States Champion Jacob Fatu vs. LA Knight vs. Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre (Fatal 4-Way Match)
At WWE Backlash on May 10th, Jacob Fatu will retain his U.S. Title in a four-cornered contest involving himself, LA Knight, Damian Priest, and Drew McIntyre. The match was sanctioned by SmackDown GM Nick Aldis due to the turmoil surrounding the championship picture.
Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria vs. Becky Lynch
At WWE Backlash, Lyra Valkyria will challenge Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Title. Following their joint victory in the gold competition at WrestleMania, Lynch admitted that she had attacked Bayley to claim her spot, transforming their partnership into a bitter rivalry.
Gunther vs. Pat McAfee
At WWE Backlash, Gunther will square off with Pat McAfee. This confrontation arises due to Gunther’s previous attack on the Raw announce team. McAfee is gearing up for his first single match since WrestleMania 39, with a thirst for retaliation against The Ring General being his primary motivation.
