Additionally, if you possess a Power-Up band from the Universal Epic Universe, you can earn real coins by punching the Question Mark Blocks as they drift by you throughout the park. Not only is there a massive Bowser’s Castle towering overhead, but hidden eggs are waiting to be discovered around every turn. What else could one ask for?
Super Mario Land Rides
Of course, you’re probably curious about the thrilling rides that the Super Mario Land zone in Epic Universe’s Super Nintendo World has in store! In this part of the amusement park, there are two rides not to be missed: Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge and Yoshi’s Adventure.
In the thrilling attraction, Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, advanced technology merges to immerse you directly into a Mario Kart race. Not only will you be in the driver’s seat of a real-life Mario Kart, but also enjoy an interactive experience filled with augmented reality, projection mapping, and detailed settings. Along this game-like journey, you’ll gather coins, throw shells at Team Bowser, dodge hurdles, and strive to control your cart. If that sounds intense… it certainly is! Yet, just like the rest of Super Mario Land, in a fun and exciting way. Wearing a Mario hat and visor with AR visuals, you’ll feel the input from all directions. So buckle up for an exhilarating ride on Rainbow Road!
During your visit to Universal’s Islands of Adventure, you’ll find Yoshi’s Adventure, a more leisurely journey reminiscent of The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride! This train-style attraction invites you on a delightful quest for glowing eggs alongside Yoshi. It’s suitable for all ages and provides breathtaking vistas of Super Nintendo World within Epic Universe.
Universal Epic Universe Super Nintendo World: Donkey Kong Country
Hang on, there’s still more to explore! Venture through another gateway and you’ll step into a fresh part of Epic Universe’s Super Nintendo World – Donkey Kong Country. Yes, Donkey Kong reigns supreme in this realm and he certainly isn’t bashful about it. Bananas, I must add, are abundant here. Distinctive Super Nintendo landmarks like The Golden Temple mark this territory, and the atmosphere is quite different from Super Mario Land. It all feels exotic, golden, and verdant.
Donkey Kong Country’s Mine-Cart Madness Roller Coaster Jumps Gaps in the Track
Despite our fondness for tropical cuisine and souvenirs, it’s the thrilling ride of Donkey Kong Country’s Mine-Cart Madness that has stolen ours hearts. It could be one of Epic Universe’s most distinctive attractions. True to its word, Mine-Cart Madness breaks away from conventional tracks to leap over gaps, veer off course sideways, and challenge your expectations in an exhilarating manner.
Absolutely, the track on the Donkey Kong roller coaster doesn’t disappear, but it may not follow the path you expect. However, the sensation of seemingly jumping off the track and veering away from safety is undeniably exhilarating. And if you pay close attention, you might find hidden Easter eggs nestled within the ride.
We feel this is exactly the kind of thing Donkey Kong would cook up.
Universal Epic Universe’s Super Nintendo World Teases The Legend of Zelda and More
Absolutely, the opening of Super Nintendo World paves the way for numerous additional realms within Universal Epic Universe. We’ve even caught glimpses of potential additions to join Mario and Donkey Kong in this theme park. For example, a stunning stained glass window showcased Zelda and Link from The Legend of Zelda series. Interestingly, the Triforce was also noticeable on the ground of the Nintendo Super Star Store.
As a die-hard movie buff, the prospect of Super Nintendo World really gets my heart racing! The experiences it offers right now and the potential adventures yet to unfold have me absolutely thrilled!
Visitors will be able to explore Super Nintendo World, Super Mario Land, and Donkey Kong Country upon the opening of Universal Epic Universe, scheduled for May 22.
