‘You Just Become More Aware’: Brad Pitt Says He Understood The Idea Of ‘Mortality’ After Turning 60

As a lifestyle expert with decades of personal and professional experience under my belt, I find Brad Pitt‘s approach to aging truly inspiring. At 60, he is not only embracing his age but also cherishing every moment with the people he loves. His newfound zest for life and his ability to find joy in simple things are a testament to the fact that aging need not be a daunting process.

Despite his youthful appearance, it’s hard to believe but Brad Pitt just celebrated his 60th birthday! In an interview with GQ alongside his co-star George Clooney for their upcoming Apple TV+ film, “Wolves,” Pitt shared that as he steps into this new phase of life, he finds himself becoming increasingly mindful about aging and the concept of mortality.

As he put it, you gradually come to grasp the concept of mortality, something that affects us all. It’s a realization that becomes more vivid. In facing aging, the F1 actor finds solace in his family and friends. He’s simply cherishing the time spent with those he loves.

Pit admitted recently that he’s been embracing life to the fullest, finding joy in even the smallest things. He struggled to put it into words without sounding cliché, but expressed that everything, from the fresh air to the vibrant green grass, seems more beautiful to him now, and he’s enjoying this new perspective on life.

George Clooney, now just beyond his sixties, reminisced about reaching that age and enjoying a special dinner with his wife to commemorate the event. He shared, “‘You know what? I can still join the guys for a game of basketball. I’m still up for hanging out. I can do a lot of things. Physically, I’m still in pretty good shape.'”

Despite anticipating that he may remain fit in the future, Clooney recognizes that his body will start to weaken over the next two decades. In simple terms, he’s saying, “In twenty years, I’ll be 80, and that’s a significant age when your bones become fragile and muscle mass decreases.” This realization has led him to place more emphasis on his personal life rather than work.

Afterward, Brad Pitt, famously known as the Bullet Train actor, expressed a positive perspective on growing older, referencing his parents and architect Frank Gehry, who is 95 years old. “He’s simply the most delightful individual,” Pitt said. Despite his advanced age, Gehry continues to nurture his passion for art and design, which according to Pitt, seems to be the secret to staying creative and enjoying life.

Last month, Pitt was captured sporting a spunky hairdo as part of his Formula One movie titled F1 which created a huge buzz on the internet because he appeared shockingly younger. The hairdo gave serious flashbacks to his 2008 flick, Burn After Reading’s look. Bottom line, the actor has plenty of time to worry about getting older as he seems to be aging backwards!

Actors George Clooney and Brad Pitt, who have collaborated before in the Ocean’s Eleven movie series, are teaming up once more for an innovative adaptation of the Apple TV+ series titled Wolf, alongside Amy Ryan, Poorna Jagannathan, and Richard Kind.

The film is set to debut at the 81st Venice International Film Festival on September 1, followed by its online release for streaming starting September 27.
