It’s hinted that Captain Marvel could return. Recent set leaks from Avengers: Doomsday suggest that Brie Larson’s spaceship is being constructed, with filming planned to start next month at Great Windsor Park in the UK. This information further fuels speculation that Larson will reprise her role in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe event film.

The report aligns with past speculations that Brie Larson will be in the cast for “Avengers: Doomsday,” a project rumored to include more than 60 Marvel characters. It also coincides with her completion of a UK stage play titled “Elektra” and news about her remaining in the country to attend Comic Con Liverpool in November, which aligns with when filming is expected to intensify.

It’s been hinted that Iman Vellani might play Ms. Marvel and Lashana Lynch may reprise her role as Maria Rambeau, who shared the screen with Brie Larson in the sequel of Captain Marvel. This suggests a possible reunion for the upcoming film The Marvels. Additionally, there are whispers that Samuel Jackson could return to his role as Nick Fury.

The Hoopty appearing in Avengers: Doomsday?

In my understanding, Captain Marvel’s spaceship, often referred to as “The Hoopty,” made its debut in the film titled “The Marvels“. If my memory serves me correctly, this spaceship appears to be distinct from the one she utilized for her escape in the initial movie. Please correct me if I’ve got it wrong!

In my perspective as a film critic, The Hoopty had a fleeting presence in the grand spectacle of “The Marvels”, yet it left an indelible impression. This Kree-engineered vehicle, customized by none other than Carol Danvers herself, serves not just for space travel but also as a means to transport those without such abilities. It doubles as her personal sanctuary in the vast cosmos, providing her with a familiar environment amidst the interstellar adventures showcased in “The Marvels”.

We managed to glimpse The Hoopty’s unique design through a LEGO model (shown above). This model comes with mini-figures of Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and Photon, as well as the spacecraft itself, boasting a sleek, curved exterior and an orange-tinted cockpit dome.

Based on the latest reports I’ve come across, it appears that the spaceship being built on the set for Avengers: Doomsday might be none other than The Hoopty. If so, this suggests Brie Larson and Captain Marvel herself will reappear in the upcoming film, with a strong possibility of other characters joining as well.
