A promotion with Pillsbury cookies has officially confirmed that Yoshi will appear in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and may also give us a hint of what the movie will be about.

I was so excited to see that Pillsbury released a special edition of their sugar cookie dough with The Super Mario Galaxy Movie on the packaging! It’s adorable – Yoshi and Mario are right there on the front, and it instantly made me want to bake some cookies.
The cookies are shaped like Yoshi eggs, hinting that Yoshi will play a big role in the new game.
This is the first officially branded product featuring the dinosaur, appearing after the 2023 movie hinted at its introduction in a scene after the credits.

Plot Tease? Galaxy Map on the Back
The back of the box may also tease elements of the movie’s story.
A newly revealed map, designed like a constellation, depicts Mario and Yoshi traveling between planets. This hints at a galactic adventure, aligning with the movie’s title. The map highlights various cosmic destinations and includes a path marked with “Start” and “End,” potentially showing the journey’s progression as they move from planet to planet.
Bowser Jr. Tease?
It’s interesting to note that one of the space stations featured on the game’s box art bears a resemblance to designs used for Bowser Jr.’s spaceships in Super Mario Galaxy. With Bowser confirmed to return, voiced by Jack Black, this visual detail suggests his son, Bowser Jr., might also make an appearance.
The upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie promises a huge adventure across the galaxy, introducing new characters and featuring Yoshi! It’s set to significantly expand the world of Nintendo movies when it hits theaters on April 3, 2026.
