Yoona Dazzles Fans in Teaser Images Ahead of New Single ‘Wish to Wish’ Release

I’m so excited! YoonA from Girls’ Generation is making a comeback with a new winter single called “Wish to Wish”! SM Entertainment announced it’s coming out on December 19th at 6 p.m. KST. This is her first solo music release since her special album, “A Walk to Remember,” back in 2019, and I can’t wait to hear it!

2025 was a standout year for YoonA, who earned critical acclaim for her acting. Her film, “Pretty Crazy,” where she played dual roles as a baker and a devil, was well-received. She also starred in the popular tvN romantic comedy “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty” with Lee Chae Min, which became one of the network’s highest-rated shows and a hit on Netflix.

This new song is a thank you gift for YoonA’s fans, acknowledging their support during a very busy year. Her agency, SM Entertainment, stated the song is a way of showing gratitude for all the love she’s received. YoonA added that the track is especially for her viewers, moviegoers, and loyal fans who have been with her throughout it all.

YoonA helped write the lyrics, adding a personal touch to the song. She explained that it’s a cozy winter tune, finishing a collection of songs released throughout the seasons – she’d previously put out solo tracks for spring, summer, and fall.

She created the new song hoping people would enjoy it as they reflect on the past year. Her fans will be able to hear “Wish to Wish” live for the first time at her fan meeting, “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty,” in Seoul on December 20th.

YoonA was highly recognized for her acting this year, winning several awards. She received the Actor of the Year award for film at the 30th Consumer’s Day KCA Culture and Entertainment Awards. More recently, she was named Actress of the Year at the AAA awards for her television work and also took home the Popular Star Award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards.
