“Since the2022 cycle low, the quarterly average of daily active addresses for XRP has leapt by a remarkable +490%, whilst Bitcoin languishes with a mere10% increase. This stark contrast indicates that XRP has become the mirror reflecting the speculative zeal of the retail investor,” the newsletter opined.

According to Glassnode, Bitcoin’s growth has been as steady as a well-mannered carriage ride through the countryside. However, the launch of spot ETFs and the US elections have injected a burst of excitement, propelling Bitcoin to an all-time high just as President Trump took office.

Contrarily, XRP’s rally has been nothing short of a scandalous affair, marked by a sudden and dramatic breakout since December2024, driven by the whims of retail speculation.

“During this recent surge, XRP’s realized cap has doubled from $30.1 billion to $64.2 billion, a clear sign of substantial capital inflow,” Glassnode noted.
