XO, Kitty Update: Season 3 to Have Five New Characters? Find Out

Excitedly speaking about the continuation of XO, Kitty: Following a triumphant sophomore season, Netflix officially announced on Valentine’s Day that there will indeed be another installment. Spoiler alert! As Kitty (Anna Cathcart) has been given an additional year for her Heritage scholarship, she won’t be parting ways with KISS any time soon!

What’s the potential effect on her relationship with Min Ho, since she’s planning to stay at university? Many questions left hanging from the previous season might get answered. However, fans can look forward to those unresolved plot points being addressed earlier than expected!

As a lifestyle enthusiast keeping tabs on the latest entertainment news, I’m thrilled to share that the much-anticipated Season 3 of our favorite series is set to kick off its production journey right here in South Korea, starting around April 2025. The filming process is projected to span over a three-month period, with the final scenes being captured in June 2025. Get ready to immerse yourself once more in the captivating world of this show!

It’s said that the upcoming series aims to expand its diverse portrayal of the LGBTQ+ community by introducing fresh characters. One such character, reportedly named Marcus, is depicted as a wealthy and self-indulgent individual with sexual ambiguity. Some viewers might find him an intriguing mix of Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl and Sebastian from Cruel Intentions.

Marcus has an alluring charm that can be potentially dangerous, often staying one move ahead of those around him. Yet, this clever charmer may transform into a deadly pursuer once someone at the university catches his interest.

Besides Marcus, two more characters, Ji-Young and Philippa, will join the show for multiple appearances in Season 3. Ji-Young is a successful Korean fashion designer who has been living either in the UK or the US as an expat.

Her personality stands out as the most stylish among the rest, yet it’s important to note that it doesn’t come off as aloof or unapproachable. Her characterization hints at a dynamic nature: one moment she seems warm and friendly, the next she can deliver a sharp critique without mincing words.

Regarding Philippa, she’s a dedicated second assistant in the competitive fashion industry, handling her stressful job with grace and taking pride in it. Yet, beneath the surface, there are doubts about her place in the fashion world that occasionally overwhelm her, causing her to project an aloof demeanor. She sets high standards for herself and those under her supervision, showing little mercy.

Stay tuned for more updates! Meanwhile, XO, Kitty Season 2 is now streaming on Netflix.
