The latest PlayStation State of Play showcased a trailer for the upcoming game, featuring heroes like Storm, Magik, Wolverine, and Danger teaming up to face a dangerous threat from outer space. It will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC on August 6, 2026.

The Unbreakable X-Men Assemble
The trailer begins on Chandilar, the destroyed home planet of the Shi’ar Empire. A hidden threat emerges, targeting Earth, which leads Charles Xavier to ask Storm to assemble a new team of heroes.
Storm gathers a team called the Unbreakable X-Men, making mutants a key part of the game’s narrative.

It’s a team-based fighter developed by PlayStation Studios, Arc System Works, and Marvel, and it’s seriously smooth to pick up and play. The game looks fantastic – think really vibrant anime style – and it’s cool seeing all these familiar Marvel characters reimagined. Plus, the stages are really diverse. Storm commands the forces of nature, manipulating wind and lightning to control the battlefield.
Magik blends sorcery and swordsmanship, wielding her Soulsword for devastating attacks.
Wolverine fights with his usual savage intensity, using his nearly unbreakable Adamantium claws to overwhelm his enemies with constant attacks.
Danger, once the artificial intelligence controlling the Danger Room, has become a fully independent being and now manifests a physical body to fight with the team.
Every character in the game has their own special abilities and movements, making each one feel distinct and adding more complexity to the growing list of playable characters.
