X-23 in Logan and the Fox X-Men Universe

In James Mangold’s 2017 movie “Logan,” Dafne Keen made her live-action debut as X-23 at the age of eleven. The film adaptation retained similarities with X-23’s comic book background but adjusted certain elements for the Fox X-Men cinematic universe. In the films, scientists didn’t only experiment on cloning Logan; instead, other children were produced using mutant DNA. It is suggested that some X-Men could also be among these test subjects. A Mexican nurse covertly removed X-23 from the lab and raised her, explaining why Spanish is her primary language in the films.

Based on the latest trailer for “Deadpool & Wolverine,” it’s confirmed that Dafne Keen reprises her role as Laura Kinney/X-23. This time around, she’s older, likely in her late teens or early twenties. Is this the same Laura from “Logan,” all grown up? Or is this a different Laura from an alternate timeline? Our theory is that it’s the same Laura, as suggested by her references to Wolverine in “Deadpool & Wolverine” compared to those in “Logan.” We’ll discover the truth on July 26 when “Deadpool & Wolverine” premieres in cinemas.
