WWE 2K25 promotions start during Raw on Netflix

If you missed it, this past week saw Monday Night Raw’s premiere on Netflix. This marked a significant opportunity for WWE to promote various upcoming events such as WrestleMania, the Royal Rumble, and WWE 2K25 to their audience.

After defeating Solo Sikoa to solidify his position as Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns had a conversation with his manager Paul Heyman about showcasing his greatness. The scene then ended with him shutting a door adorned with the WWE 2K25 logo. This could potentially hint at Reigns being the cover athlete for WWE 2K25.

Maybe it’s high time to spotlight Reigns with a showcase, guiding us through his journey from The Shield’s early days to becoming one of the most powerful champions WWE has ever seen. However, I’m still leaning towards a John Cena cover given that he announced his retirement in 2025. But since they now produce multiple covers, it’s possible that both could be featured.

For instance, WWE 2K24 showcased Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, and the late Bray Wyatt on its cover artwork. At present, these are merely hints, but 2K Games has announced that they will reveal details about their forthcoming wrestling game on January 28th.

2024’s WWE 2K edition was exceptional, and I’m optimistic they’ll maintain this level of quality. Frankly, it had a strong chance to be named Sports Game of the Year at The Game Awards. However, who am I to judge? I adored its gameplay, roster, and Wrestlemania Showcase, making WWE 2K24 a likely keeper on my hard drive if 2K25 doesn’t impress me. Lately, 2K has been creating some impressive titles, that’s for sure.
