The launch date for WWE 2K25 is quickly approaching, and with it comes a host of fresh features and game modes. However, some fan-favorite elements from WWE 2K24 will also be making a comeback. The most notable returnee from WWE 2K24 is the feature known as Personas. First introduced in WWE 2K24, Personas can be found within the MyFaction game mode.
For gamers new to Personas, they’re cards you get using VC. These cards often have distinctive outfits or appearances unique to each wrestler. Some Personas even evoke memories of PlayStation 1 wrestlers, while others transport you back to significant moments in their careers. With Personas, the potential combinations are endless, making players eager to collect every Persona for various wrestlers since they can be used across all game modes.
How Personas will work in WWE 2K25
As a dedicated gamer immersed in WWE 2K24, I found myself on a quest to collect Personas within MyFaction mode. To add these characters to my roster, I could either spend Virtual Currency (VC) and buy packs for a shot at newer Personas or head straight to the Card Market and purchase individual ones. Yet, there were certain elusive Personas that only appeared in Card Packs, making it a challenge to obtain them individually. This hunt for every possible Persona turned out to be quite an uphill battle.
If you hoped that collecting Personas in WWE 2K25 would be less challenging, I’m sorry to say it won’t. The process is expected to be quite similar. However, there’s a silver lining: You can amass Virtual Currency (VC) within WWE 2K25 without spending any real money. The catch is that accumulating VC takes time, and using it to buy Card Packs may not immediately yield the Persona you desire. This could turn into a lengthy and potentially costly process if you decide to invest real funds into the game for more VC.
Regarding WWE 2K25, it’s a bit disappointing to know that easier methods for acquiring Personas might not be implemented in this version. However, Creative Director Lynell Jinks has hinted at the possibility of making these changes in future installments, should the company decide to proceed that way.
For those eagerly awaiting WWE 2K25, you can secure your copy right now as pre-orders have begun! If you opt for the Deadman Edition, it’ll be in your hands a full week early starting March 7. The Standard Edition will follow on March 14.
