On July 24, 2025, you can expect the release of an update for Wuthering Waves titled “Unfading Melody of Life.” This version boasts the highly anticipated appearance of a Resonator from the Fractsidus group in its promotional materials.
In a nutshell, Phrolova is set to be an exceptional 5-Star character, dishing out Havoc Damage and armed with a Rectifier. However, she won’t be the sole Resonator in play during the update: Three renowned Rinascita characters will make their comeback on the banners for reruns.

Wuthering Waves 2.5 banners – Phase 1
From July 24, 2025, I’m thrilled to share that the eagerly awaited Wuthering Waves 2.5 update will introduce new playable characters and weapons!
- Phrolova (5-Star, Havoc, Rectifier) and three 4-Star Resonators
- Roccia (5-Star, Havoc, Gauntlets) and three 4-Star Resonators
- Lethean Energy (5-Star, Rectifier) and three 4-Star weapons
- Tragicomedy (5-Star, Gauntlets) and three 4-Star weapons
Phrolova is a fresh main Damage Per Second (DPS) character who excels in inflicting Resonance Skill damage, but she also boosts her team’s Havoc and Heavy Attack damage. She has some supportive abilities too. In terms of a sub DPS partner, Roccia works exceptionally well with Phrolova due to their synergy with these elements.
Wuthering Waves 2.5 banners – Phase 2
The second phase is set to kick off on August 14, 2025, although it’s important to note that this date could potentially shift due to the possibility of Version 2.5 lasting longer than the standard six-week period. This phase will include the participation of these characters and weapons:
This version is a bit more concise and casual while still conveying the same information about the potential change in schedule and the inclusion of specific characters and weapons.
- Cantarella (5-Star, Havoc, Rectifier) and three 4-Star Resonators
- Brant (5-Star, Fusion, Sword) and three 4-Star Resonators
- Whispers of Sirens (5-Star, Rectifier) and three 4-Star weapons
- Unflickering Valor (5-Star, Sword) and three 4-Star weapons
In simpler terms, Cantarella joins Phrolova’s cheerful group as a healer and supporter, boosting the damage of Havoc and Resonance Skill effects. On the other hand, Brant takes on a similar role, but he only increases Fusion DMG, making him less ideal for a team with Phrolova.
