Fans of Wuthering Waves can anticipate a significant update coming in June 2025 as Version 2.4 of the game will be released for PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android devices.

Version 2.4 of WuWa introduces playable characters Cartethiya and Lupa, expands into the fresh region of Septimont, provides access to two chapters of the main story, and debuts a new endgame mode. Additionally, players can look forward to summer skins for Changli and Carlotta, as they prepare for beach fun.

Wuthering Waves 2.4 is set to be released on June 12, 2025, for PC, PS5, iOS, and Android.

Starting from June 12, 2025, marks the commencement of Phase 1, during which we’ll introduce Cartethiya (also known as Aero and Sword), a powerful 5-Star Resonator, into our lineup.

In simple terms, starting from July 3, 2025 (Phase 2), a new character named Lupa (Fusion, Broadblade) – hailing from Septimont – will be introduced as a playable character, adding to the roster of 5-Star Resonators.

In each phase of the game, both characters will be accompanied by their signature weapons displayed on the weapon banner. Defier’s Thorn, a 5-star sword, is always seen with Cartethiya, and the 5-star Broadblade Wildfire Mark is Lupa’s constant companion.

Ensure you secure the active WuWa codes for additional Astrite, whether your plan is to summon from these banners or hold out for the forthcoming characters as hinted.

WuWa 2.4 story

Despite Rover successfully foiling the latest schemes in Rinascita, its masterminds – Phrolova and Cristoforo – continue to live freely without any repercussions, and they appear to be actively preparing for another calamity, this time in Septimont.

It appears that Rover is planning to go there accompanied by Cartethiya, and they should arrive in time for an important gladiatorial event known as the Agon, which holds significant significance for the people of Septimont.

WuWa 2.4 events

Wuthering Waves 2.4 will contain the following time-limited and permanent events:

  • Gifts of Grand Opening – login event that grants ten Radiant Tides.
  • Gift of Applause – login event.
  • The Everglorious Summit – exploration event in Septimont.
  • Septimont Travel Atlas – exploration event in Septimont.
  • Uncovering Past Heroes – photo event in Septimont.
  • All Out! Towards the Peaks of Prestige – Echo combat event
  • Lollo Campaign: Verification – commission event.
  • Virtual Crisis: Frontier Trials – combat challenge event.
  • Banners Never Fall – permanent combat challenge event.

WuWa 2.4 additions and features

In update 2.4 of WuWa, Changli and Carlotta receive summer-inspired premium costumes that are up for sale in the shop. Additionally, players can acquire two new Phantom Echoes, Cuddle Wuddle and Fae Ignis, as well as a glider and two flight-related cosmetics. One of these cosmetic items is accessible through an event.

Eight brand-new Echoes make their way into the game:

  • Lioness of Glory
  • Nightmare: Kelpie
  • Kerasaur
  • Pilgrim’s Shell
  • Devotee’s Flesh
  • Spectro Drake

Windward Pilgrimage:

  • (2) – +10% Aero DMG
  • (5) – +10% CRIT Rate and +30% Aero DMG for 10s after hitting a target with Aero Erosion

Flaming Clawpoint:

  • (2) – +10% Fusion DMG
  • (5) – +15% Fusion DMG for the entire team and +20% Resonance Liberation DMG for the wearer for 35s when they activate Resonance Liberation
