Woman Arrested After Alleged Shooting at Rihanna’s Property Now Charged With Attempted Murder

Police are investigating a shooting that happened at Rihanna’s Los Angeles home on Sunday afternoon. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a woman fired several shots – between five and seven – at the property around 1:20 p.m. While the bullets hit the gate, no one inside the house was injured.

The suspect, 35-year-old Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, was quickly found and arrested. She’s been charged with attempted murder and is being held on $10.2 million bail.

Representatives for Rihanna and her partner, A$AP Rocky, haven’t yet commented on the incident. This shooting is especially concerning given past security issues the singer has faced.

Beyond a recent concerning incident, Rihanna has been dedicating herself to her family. She gave birth to her daughter, Rocki, in September 2025, following her memorable pregnancy announcement at the Met Gala earlier that year. She’s even playfully suggested she might have more children, emphasizing that being a mother is now her main focus. As for her music, fans are eagerly anticipating her ninth album, often called R9, which appears to be close to completion. This year, she was seen at recording studios in New York and has shared glimpses of her collaboration with her team. She’s indicated that this new album will be different from her previous work, showcasing her growth as an artist.

Rihanna is expanding her creative work! Fans will soon be able to hear her voice in the new animated musical Smurfs, alongside a talented cast including James Corden, Nick Offerman, Daniel Levy, and Octavia Spencer.

Beyond movies, there’s buzz that Rihanna is planning a huge return to performing live. Sources say she’s organizing a major stadium tour for the summer, which would be her first large-scale tour in ten years.

After focusing on her successful Fenty businesses and raising her children, it seems the singer is ready to return to the spotlight.
