Windows Update Breaks Popular Ubisoft Games

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that Microsoft’s latest Windows 11 update has been a rollercoaster ride. The 24H2 version seems to have caused more trouble than it’s worth, especially when it comes to my beloved Ubisoft games. The unresponsiveness and screen blackouts during gameplay are not just inconvenient; they’re downright frustrating.

Hey there, fellow gamer! It seems like the recent Windows 11 update, version 24H2, is giving me and a few others some headaches with Ubisoft games. Post-installation, we’ve noticed that certain titles can become unresponsive during startup, loading, or gameplay. In extreme cases, our screens go black. Quite the buzzkill, right?

The games impacted are ‘Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’, ‘Assassin’s Creed Origins’, ‘Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’, ‘Star Wars: Outlaws’, and ‘Avatar: Pandora’s Frontier’. Ubisoft has rolled out a short-term resolution for ‘Star Wars: Outlaws’ to avoid crashes, however, potential performance problems may persist. They are currently working on a permanent solution.

The gradual release of the Windows 11 24H2 update is ongoing, with plans for it to reach all qualified devices within the next few weeks. Upon its arrival, it will be set to download and install automatically on your device.

Microsoft has admitted that their most recent significant Windows update prevents some Ubisoft games from functioning properly. As a result, PC users with these games installed will not receive the update until the problem is resolved.

They’ve announced that their long-term project, ‘Project U’, which has been under development for five years, is being reconsidered. This news, my fellow fans, has us all on the edge of our seats!
