1996 saw their first single, Wannabe, break records and sell more than 100 million copies worldwide. Interestingly, this isn’t the first hint of a Spice Girls reunion. More recently, Melanie C, also known as ‘Sporty Spice’, mentioned on an Australian radio station that next year marks the 30th anniversary of their debut single.
She playfully suggested that we should plan something extraordinary, though she wasn’t able to disclose many details. Instead, she hinted at the idea of a “quick global adventure,” which sounded intriguing. Interestingly, Geri Horner, who temporarily departed from the band in 1998 before rejoining for a world tour afterwards.
Last month, Horner shared her aspirations for the upcoming 30th-anniversary gathering with The Times of London. She expressed that she longs for everyone to reunite as a united group, stating, “It’s more fitting and respectful to join as one.
At the London 2012 Olympic Games closing event, every band member joined forces. Since then, they’ve gotten together numerous times, such as during their 2019 tour. Unfortunately, their latest gathering didn’t include Victoria Beckham, who was famously known as Posh Spice.
