Will Paul Feig Return To Director’s Chair For A Simple Favor 2? Filmmaker Opens Up On Sequel To Blake Lively Starrer

As a lifestyle expert with years of experience in the film industry under my belt, I must say that Paul Feig’s decision to direct the sequel to his 2018 hit, A Simple Favor, has left me both intrigued and slightly perplexed. Having heard the director express his skepticism towards sequels and reboots in the past, this announcement certainly came as a surprise. However, upon learning that he’s excited about it and that the first cut of the movie played “through the roof” during test screenings, I find myself eagerly awaiting its release.

In a surprising turn of events, Paul Feig, the director of A Simple Favor (2018), has announced plans for a sequel to the film. This decision comes as a shock to many, given that Feig previously expressed skepticism about creating sequels or reboots.

During an interview with Radio Times, the director expressed his eagerness to begin work on the second installment of the crime thriller movie. Previously, it was announced that Feig would resume duties for the film, and both Lively and Kendrick are set to return to their characters.

Based on recent news, the team behind the upcoming sequel has started shooting the film. In a recent interview, the director confessed that he usually avoids making sequels. However, Feig expressed enthusiasm for this new project, stating, “I’m truly looking forward to it.”

He further added, “I’m in the middle of editing right now, and we did a test screening of my first cut last week, and it played through the roof. We scored really high. So it works. It seems to work, which is nice. And now I’m just fine-tuning, but I’m really excited about it. And basically everybody came back for it.”

2018 saw the release of “A Simple Favor,” a movie that chronicled the journey of Emily Nelson and Stephanie Smothers as they embarked on an adventure aimed at identifying the murderer of the latter’s spouse. Regarding the sequel, it appears that the original actors will reunite for another on-screen appearance, as suggested by the director who hinted at this possibility in a conversation with Radio Times. According to Feig, he intends to delve back into the characters from the initial film.

In the film, we find Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Joshua Satine, Ian Ho, and Kelly McCormack gracing the screen with their presence.

1. The initial movie turned out to be a success at the box office, generating approximately $97 million against a production cost of $20 million. In the forthcoming picture, viewers can expect Emily and Stephanie to develop a connection while traveling to Capri Island in Italy. As they participate in a wedding, a murder occurs among the attendees.

The makers will announce the release date for A Simple Favor 2 shortly.
