In the latest episode of ‘Maebashi Witches,’ titled ‘Feeling More Like a 70 Than a 100,’ the witches found out that their shop’s magical power points had inexplicably decreased. It was Keroppe who unveiled that Mai had been clandestinely utilizing them, leaving the others astounded.
Mai won’t clarify her behavior until her childhood friend, Yua Hosaka, arrives. Though Azu dislikes Yua’s influencer lifestyle, Yua’s requests are still granted. In the end, it’s Yua’s last wish that uncovers Mai’s secret online popularity, sparking envy in Yua. Feeling deceived, Yua gets angry and tension escalates between the long-time friends.
In Episode 5 of Maebashi Witches, we’ll pick up where we left off, following the aftermath of Yua’s stormy exit and Mai retreating into her room. With their magic reserves dwindling, Yuina and the gang find themselves precariously close to failing their witch apprenticeship. It seems likely that Mai will try to mend fences with Yua in an effort to restore harmony.
Yet, Yua’s injured self-respect and fixation on being popular might drive her towards an extreme choice. On the other hand, the witches are facing a growing scarcity of magical resources, which intensifies their need to collaborate and handle their emotional disputes more tactfully.
