In the realm of Marvel Studios, Chris Hemsworth’s portrayal of Thor has undeniably become a timeless icon. Accompanied by the Avengers and his Asgardian troops, the thunder god is expected to make a last appearance in the cinematic world.
According to whispers circulating, it seems that the studio is preparing to give Chris Hemsworth’s character Thor a fitting goodbye shortly. This information originates from The Cosmic Circus, hinting that New Avengers (Volume 3) #32 may be the source for saying farewell to the god of thunder.
Yet, contrary to speculation about his departure, it’s indicated that Thor might still make appearances in future Marvel Cinematic Universe productions.
There’s a strong possibility that Jane Foster’s character as Lady Thor could reappear in upcoming films. Additionally, it seems likely that we’ll encounter the Thor Corps and other related aspects in future movie productions.
At the recent Avengers: Doomsday casting announcement, it was Chris Hemsworth’s Thor who made his debut as the first character to be revealed. Joining him were both new and familiar faces, each set to return in their respective roles.
Recent speculations hint at an anticipated meeting between Thor and Loki, his trickster brother portrayed by Tom Hiddleston, who last appeared together on screen in the 2018 film “Avengers: Infinity War.” Despite their appearance in “Avengers: Endgame” (released in 2019), this was a separate instance where they did not share the screen.
Back in 2011, I made my debut on the silver screen as Thor. The following year, I graced the screens once again, this time alongside some heavyweights like Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, Chris Evans’ Captain America, Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, and Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye in The Avengers.
In addition, the character he portrayed earlier was also revisited by him in as many as seven other productions, with Thor: Love and Thunder marking the most recent instance.
