It seems that Ariana Grande’s latest fashion choices, notably her attire at the 2025 Golden Globes, have sparked speculation about her desire to portray Audrey Hepburn in a future role, as her outfits echoed the timeless style of the legendary Hollywood actress.
During this year’s National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala held on January 7, Grande was spotted conversing with Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet. Notably, the reporter pointed out her elegant pink structured dress and hairstyle reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn’s classic style, featuring a ponytail with bangs.
Ariana Grande expressed her fondness for the glamorous style of the 1950s and 1960s, naming Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe as her favorites from that era. She stated, “I’m really into ’50s and ’60s glamour; those two ladies – Marilyn and Audrey – are my absolute favorites.
When queried about potentially portraying the iconic character from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Grande appeared taken aback, yet she unequivocally stated that any such endeavor would require meticulous execution. She also graciously acknowledged the compliment from the reporter.
Grande said of the biopic, “That would have to be done so well and so perfectly.”
Currently, there’s no fresh confirmation regarding the upcoming biopic about Audrey Hepburn. Despite ongoing rumors, as reported by Deadline, the project initially had Rooney Mara cast in the lead role and Luca Guadagnino as director. However, Mara has since stated that Guadagnino is no longer part of the project.
Ariana Grande is set to reprise her character Glinda once more in the production of “Wicked: For Good,” scheduled for release on November 21, 2025.
