Despite not attracting massive player numbers on Steam for Wildgate, Moonshot Games’ thrilling and entertaining debut game persists, adhering to the plan established prior to its release, with the initial content updates set to roll out soon. According to the developers, fresh ship loot, a new artifact category, novel objects, and a new location of interest are all slated for inclusion over the upcoming weeks.
As a thrilled fan, I can’t help but share my excitement about the upcoming updates! From what I’ve caught a glimpse of in the sneak peek, it seems we’ll be exploring an ethereal temple suspended in space – its aged walls adorned with glowing runes that shimmer mysteriously. Additionally, there appears to be a captivating statue emitting light, possibly interactive and ready to surprise us with some enchanting effects!
The most thrilling aspects seem to be the new artifact and ship loot introductions. The artifact seems to function as a weapon, emitting a continuous, potent beam, while the latest ship component appears to act as a point-defense mine. Once deployed, the mine independently intercepts incoming missiles. This could prove invaluable in various scenarios, such as during a sudden escape or securing areas against surprise attacks while your crew is busy investigating Points of Interest.
In a review for Wildgate, Kirk McKeand from DBLTAP described the game as one of the most imaginative and thrilling multiplayer titles to emerge in quite some time.
2025 marks the arrival of the initial fresh content for Wildgate on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, specifically on August 7th.
