As an ardent fan who has followed Grace Kelley‘s life journey with a mix of admiration and concern, I find myself both heartbroken and bewildered. It’s truly unfortunate to see someone so young and talented grappling with such legal troubles. Her life story seems like a rollercoaster ride, filled with highs and lows that could rival any Hollywood drama.
Wynonna Judd’s daughter, Grace Kelley, was recently taken into custody on three charges and subsequently released after posting bail the following day. This marks the first instance of arrest for Grace Kelley, who has had past legal issues, albeit for a distinct cause this time around.
According to People Magazine’s report, the arrest record they obtained shows that a 28-year-old woman was taken into custody in Carroll County Jail on August 3 (Saturday), charged with three offenses. Subsequently, she was freed the following day after posting a $2,750 bond.
As per the records, it appears that Kelly was arrested for attempting to avoid police in a vehicle (fleeing or eluding an officer), driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, and failing to use appropriate motorcycle gear.
According to reports, this marks the second time the country singer’s daughter has been taken into custody this year. Previously, in April, she was apprehended for charges related to indecent exposure and hindering official business, as detailed by AL.com.
A week later, she was taken into custody for a different offense. On a bustling highway in Alabama, it’s said that she exposed her chest and lower body, leading to her arrest on charges of solicitation and prostitution. Her initial bond was set at $2,000 but later raised to $2,500.
As per People Magazine’s report, The Daily News stated that an indecent exposure charge got lowered to public lewdness, and the accusation of soliciting prostitution was also dismissed.
In a court of law, Kelly admitted her guilt for the remaining charges of public indecency and hindering official business. The judge mandated a fine of $200 and an imprisonment of 90 days for the first offense, to be served concurrently with another 60-day sentence for the second offense. As reported by WSFA, Kelly was released from jail on May 23rd.
In 2016, the woman, who was 28 at the time, encountered legal issues. Specifically, she was arrested for possessing meth and abandoning a court-ordered drug rehabilitation program. This action essentially breached her probation agreement. Consequently, she received an eight-year prison sentence, as reported by People Magazine.
According to the report from The Daily Beast, it’s stated that Kelley was freed in December 2022. However, she didn’t stay out of trouble for long; she breached an order of protection and parole in May 2023, which landed her back in prison. Afterwards, she was released again in October 2023.
In March 2022, she was given a temporary break from work when she welcomed her daughter, Kaliyah Channel, into the world. (age 28)
