As an ardent follower of extraordinary lives, I find myself utterly captivated by the enigmatic figure of Jocelyn Wildenstein, fondly known as “Catwoman.” Her transformation from a demure Swiss beauty to a feline queen is nothing short of mesmerizing, and her life story reads more like a Hollywood script than reality.
Jocelyn Wildenstein, often referred to as “Catwoman,” has recently posted old photos on her social media platforms, offering a look at her appearance prior to extensive plastic surgeries. You might wonder, though, what earned her the nickname Catwoman – read on to discover the reason!
For quite some time now, Jocelyn has gained widespread recognition not just for her looks but also for her extravagant lifestyle. Furthermore, she has had several plastic surgeries that have given her a distinctive feline or cat-like facial features.
Beyond her moniker Catwoman, she is also recognized as “The Lion Queen” and “Wildenstein’s Bride,” the latter being a nod to her former husband Alec Wildenstein’s last name. Contrary to Wikipedia claims, Jocelyn denies undergoing excessive plastic surgery, instead attributing her appearance to her Swiss ancestry. However, she has openly discussed having a costly procedure to give her eyes a more feline look.
On the 25th of August, I captivated my followers by posting a nostalgic snapshot on Instagram, featuring myself and my little girl, Diane Wildenstein, who was still an adorable baby in that photo.
1. The picture clearly displayed her appearance prior to her significant change, which she labeled as a birthday tribute for her stunning daughter, Diane Wildenstein, with the hashtags “#oljogi” and “#jocelynwildenstein”.
Alongside Diane, she had a son named Alec Jr., who was born from her ex-husband, a billionaire art dealer. They separated in 1997, an event that made headlines across the media. This attention led to Jocelyn being referred to as Catwoman and The Bride of Wildenstein by People magazine.
As reported by the publication, Alec expressed to Vanity Fair and claimed that Jocelyn behaved in an unconventional manner. He explained, “I would often be the last one to find out. She seemed to believe she could alter her appearance like a piece of furniture. However, skin doesn’t function that way. Yet, she refused to heed my advice.”
It’s said that their divorce process took around two years, involving various courtroom theatrics, as accusations surfaced about infidelity, escort services, and instances of domestic abuse from both sides.
Based on People magazine and Reuters reports, it’s been stated that in 1999, Jocelyn was given a total of USD 2.5 billion upfront, along with an annual income of USD 100 million for the following 13 years. As part of this settlement, the judge mandated that the Catwoman could not spend the awarded money on cosmetic treatments or procedures.
