Sabrina Morrissey, acting as Wendy Williams’s legal representative, has recently initiated a lawsuit against A&E Television Networks, Lifetime, EOne Productions, Creature Films, and executive producer Mark Ford. This legal move comes in response to the contentious debut of Where Is Wendy Williams?, a documentary that offers insights into Wendy Williams’ life through the lens of guardianship.
In February 2024, a documentary was released, in which Morrissey tried to prevent it from being shown, arguing that Williams, who had been diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia, could not comprehend the filming or the subject matter of the documentary.
According to People’s report, the defendants exploited Williams’ poor health by mocking and embarrassing him. The lawsuit alleges that while Williams was paid a meager 82,000 USD from the documentary earnings, the production companies amassed millions instead.
According to Morrissey’s claims, these defendants violated a legitimate contract by publishing the content and releasing the film, despite knowing that they had serious memory problems and physical disabilities in the short and long term.
As per the lawsuit, it’s claimed that the defendants took advantage of Williams’ deteriorating health for financial gain, causing her embarrassment and disrespect. The accusation further mentions that by May 2022, a legal guardianship was established for Williams to safeguard her funds from being depleted, thus denying her control over her legal rights.
Because she was denied the claim, she has moved into an assisted living facility for support with her cognitive issues resulting from a diagnosis of dementia.

The lawsuit alleges that the movie producers exploited Wendy Williams by recording her at her most fragile times, depicting her battles with substance abuse, health issues, and psychological decline, without showing compassion or respect for her privacy.
