In a harrowing incident on the set of Bride Hard, Rebel Wilson might have suffered permanent facial scarring. Recounting the event, the actress, who will portray Sam in the upcoming film, described being struck in the face by a prop gun, resulting in a deluge of blood.

During an interview with Access Hollywood, the actress from Pitch Perfect shared that after the “unusual incident,” she was immediately taken to a facial plastic surgeon to prevent permanent distortion of her features.

The actress explained that she got hurt while practicing fight scenes for a mistake that occurred during rehearsals.

During a chat with a media outlet, Rebel Wilson shared that she sustained a split nose during the final night of filming for the movie “Bride Hard.

In a fight sequence, an unintended blow from a gun struck me on the face. Wilson explained that it was simply a bizarre accident which resulted in my nose being badly cut, causing me to depart from the set. It happened to be my final night of filming. I couldn’t help but think, “What more bad luck can I possibly encounter?

Additionally, the mother of another person disclosed that the incident took place during the climactic battle scene, resulting in her lying in a puddle of blood.

The actress explained that she had an urgent situation requiring immediate attention from a plastic surgeon. She stated, “I was extremely worried. An ambulance was called, and a plastic surgeon had to be contacted immediately because if not, I would have been left with permanent disfigurement. Fortunately, we managed to get the plastic surgeon, who skillfully performed all the necessary stitches, leaving no visible signs now.

What is Bride Hard about?

In regards to Rebel Wilson’s forthcoming film directed by Simon West, the story of “Bride Hard” centers on the character Sam, who is both an undercover agent and a bridesmaid.

In the storyline, it’s explained that she neglects her bridesmaid responsibilities and instead embarks on a mission as a global agent. Furthermore, the narrative suggests that this character is determined to mete out severe retribution against those who might sabotage her friend’s wedding.

Apart from Wilson, the ensemble features Anna Camp, Anna Chlumsky, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Gigi Zumbado, Sherry Cola, and Stephen Dorff.

Bride Hard will release in theaters on June 20.
