Why Did Kill Bill Star Michael Madsen File For Divorce From Wife DeAnna After 28 Years Together? Here’s All We Know

As a dedicated follower of Michael Madsen‘s career and personal life, it is heartbreaking to witness the turmoil he and his family are going through. The loss of Hudson, followed by the breakdown of his marriage, seems like an unending string of tragedies.

Michael Madsen, known for his roles in Kill Bill and Reservoir Dogs, has filed for divorce from his wife of 28 years, DeAnna Madsen, due to unresolvable disagreements. He stated that the separation process began following their son Hudson’s suicide in January 2022, a devastating event he believes was influenced by his estranged spouse.

According to a court filing reported by Page Six, Madsen alleged that DeAnna contributed to their 26-year-old son’s suicide due to the ‘abuse’ and ‘alcohol addiction’ she was struggling with. He emphasized that the harmful and co-dependent nature of their relationship exacerbated her pre-existing problems.

In Madsen’s situation, his unfortunate arrest stemmed from his connection with DeAnna, leading to prejudice from the law enforcement personnel. DeAnna contacted the police, alleging that Madsen had pushed her during one of their disagreements. He paid a $20,000 bail but eventually, the Los Angeles County District Attorney declined to press charges against Madsen, stating insufficient evidence.

Apart from submitting a divorce application, Madsen is also requesting a protective order due to domestic violence allegations against DeAnna. He emphasized that this incident served as a turning point since it was when he was arrested, an event that represented the breaking point for their relationship.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: Contrary to Michael’s claims, DeAnna and I have not separated. In fact, we remain united at our Malibu residence. Regarding Madsen, I can only express my empathy for his current situation. Our family is doing our part to support him through his challenges, while also requesting some personal space for our own well-being.

In a simple rephrasing: Madsen and DeAnna are parents to three sons – Calvin (age 27), Luke (18), and their late son, Hudson. Madsen has two older children, Christian (34) and Max (30), from his previous marriage. Sadly, Hudson, who served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant, passed away in Hawaii during 2022.

Michael Madsen expressed confusion over his son’s passing. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, he stated, “I am stunned because my son, who I recently spoke to and seemed content, told me he was happy.” He further mentioned that there were no indications of depression during their encounter, making it difficult for him to accept this tragic incident.
