As a lifestyle expert with extensive knowledge of the entertainment industry, I must say that Whoopi Goldberg‘s advice to Nikki Glaser for hosting the Golden Globes is nothing short of golden. Having hosted some of the most prestigious awards shows myself, I can empathize with the pressure and nerves that come with the job.
It appears that Whoopi Goldberg is taking care to support others, as demonstrated by her offering some guidance to Nikki Glaser, who will be hosting the forthcoming Golden Globe Awards. The actress and television personality, known for her work on The View, extended a helping hand to Ms. Glaser in this manner.
On an episode of The View that aired on Wednesday, Goldberg, known for having hosted the Academy Awards four times and the Grammy Awards once, offered advice to Glaser.
In simpler terms, the actress from Sister Act remarked, “You’ll be the leader, and you’ll have to endure criticism. No matter what actions you take, there will always be people ready to criticize.
As a lifestyle expert, I would advise you, in my own words, to steer clear of social media and instead focus on your unique talents and abilities. After all, your mission should be to outshine everyone else. Your fellow stars echoed this advice, suggesting that you disable Google Alerts related to your name so as not to receive any notifications about the responses or critiques following your performances. In essence, let your work speak for itself!
After receiving the advice, Glaser placed a hand over her heart and expressed gratitude. Sunny Hostin of The View commented, “You’re getting tips from the best,” to which Glaser responded, “Yes, I realize it, and it’s simply incredible.
Previously, during our chat on the program, Glaser shared his surprise upon learning that certain famous personalities choose not to emcee events such as the Golden Globes.
The actress from The Color Purple explained that many people act in such a way due to fear. Furthermore, she mentioned the importance of recognizing when it’s appropriate for humor, speeches, and other activities. She also emphasized the need to understand when events are happening so one can stay ahead and manage them effectively.
She continued, “You see it, but nobody else sees it, and so when you come back out, you’re talking about it. You’re the thing that keeps everybody moving forward.”
The Golden Globes is slated to air on January 5, 2025, on CBS.
