62-year-old former actress Pamela Bach Hasselhoff, who was previously married to David Hasselhoff, took her own life.

Based on reports by law enforcement officials and TMZ, family members began expressing worry when they didn’t receive any communication from her. They requested a wellness visit as a result. By Wednesday night, emergency responders were dispatched to her home, and upon arrival, she was found unconscious.

At the scene, authorities pronounced her death as a result of a gunshot wound to her head that she inflicted on herself. No suicide note was found at the location.

Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bach later relocated to Los Angeles in 1985. During the late ’80s, she made appearances on various television shows such as T.J. Hooker, Knight Rider, The Fall Guy, Cheers, Baywatch Nights, Throb, Sonny Spoon, and others. For a decade, she played the role of café owner Kaye Morgan on Baywatch.

Her first feature film was Francis Ford Coppola’s Rumble Fish (released in 1983). Among other movies she has appeared in are Appointment with Fear (from 1985), Nudity Required (1988), Route 66 (1998), and Castle Rock (2000), to name a few.

Following the recent news, David Hasselhoff expressed a heartfelt message from his family asking for solitude as they navigate through this difficult period.

The actor from Baywatch shared with TMZ that our family is greatly distressed by the late Pamela Hasselhoff’s passing. We are touched by the abundance of affection and encouragement we’ve received during these hard days, but we humbly ask for seclusion as we mourn and try to find our way through this tough period.

Pamela Bach and David Hasselhoff had a 17-year marriage that began when they worked together on Knight Rider. They were a couple from 1989 until their divorce in 2006. After the divorce, Pamela is known to be the mother of two daughters who she had with Hasselhoff.
