92-year-old British actor Michael McStay, known for roles in shows like Doctor Who and No Hiding Place, has sadly passed away.

He passed away peacefully during sleep on May 18, after having shared a pleasant lunch with his children. This information was made public by a family spokesperson on May 20, according to the Daily Mail report.

The obituary described McStay as a widely recognized actor, a prosperous author, and a devoted family man. His acquaintances considered it an honor to have been part of his life and professional journey.

McStay gained widespread recognition across the country due to his extended role as Sergeant Perryman in ITV’s crime television series No Hiding Place, appearing over 80 times. Additionally, he made a brief yet memorable appearance as Derek Moberley in two episodes of Doctor Who on BBC, a show that held a special place in his heart throughout his life.

In a podcast interview held in May 2024, McStay expressed admiration for the passionate and amiable Doctor Who fan community. He found them welcoming and enthusiastic, an encounter that left a lasting impression on him.
